great game! prefer the pc version over the xbox one
i first bought the game for xbox (preordered)i played a few games with it, but since im used to play on the pc, i had many problems trying to make the right things with the controller: with the pc you can configure the buttons anyway you want to, but with the xbox version you cant.. there are like 4 combinations and none of them is similar to the one i always use with basketball games... so that was a huge let down because ive been playing nba games for more than a decade now, and always using similar combinationsso.. i decided to download the pc version, and the graphics are great, the gameplay smooth although there are a lot of moves that you have to learn in order to be competitive and get the best out of the game (post moves, dribbling, different jump shots)love the legends mode and my player has new things that makes it more apealing.i started an association inserting some of the legends on it.. the steps to put them in the rosters are very tedious and i hate the fact that you cant change their ages (so they wont retire early) but i least you can use them.on my knicks team i have kareem (during his milwaukee days) kurt rambis (love the look with those awful glasses hahaha) and drazen petrovic!!! great addition to the game.so the game is great, i miss the rookies but theres nothing you can do with the lockout. much better than nba2k11 wich is algo a great game

This was a great game. It shipped and arrived on time. There were no damages to the product and it worked great. Good price for the game.

this game is fun
i'll be short and to the point, this game is fun. it's realistic without being wooden. the players move freely and realistically. when you defense a player, you bump up against and impede him like real players do. on offense you have the ability to make so many moves and it is hard to master them all. the one feature i enjoy is creating your own player. you start as a rookie and work your way up as a pro. but first you go through a hypothetical but realistic team draft to start your career. a cool realism aspect of the career mode is that you don't gain attribute points unless you play well, and this means playing strong defense. if you play poorly you can lose points. so there are incentives to play well so that you can spend the credits to improve your player. the little details make this game great and it's challenging to play well. this game is highly recommended for all ages.

Frustrating
1.The new addition to the game "The Greatest Players" mode is what sold me. Being able to play as Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Dr.J, Kareem, and more are so much fun. The commentators give you facts about the players back in the day and stats that make it seem real. Once you beat the challenge you can then play with that team in the game. This mode alone is enough to spend your money on this game.2.My player mode is a lot better than 2k11 BUT it's still very very frustrating. It challenges you to make good passes, run plays and take good shots. Leveling up your player is hard but rewarding and when you do make those rare 3 pointers they are pure joy. Being able to have a certain say so in what team you get drafted to is nice although you don't really know, just hope you get drafted to a good team or your season will be short. I got drafted to the Celtics but Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, KG, and Rondo play like rookies. They constantly take bad shots, turn the ball over, leave their man wide open, miss wide open shots, pass to me with a second or two left on the clock, and many more things that get frustrating. No matter how good you play it really comes down to if the computer decides to make shots or not. The AI cheats and knows what play you are running and if you play on Hall of Fame difficulty than speed and quickness don't matter. Even if your speed is 99, a 7 foot center will keep up with on the fast break. If you help out your team mate with a double team and their man scores you will be penalized. If you go for a block on a fast break the refs will call a foul on you 99.9% of the time, but if the other team goes for a block on the fast break they will stop the score 90 percent of the time. If you play of Hall of Fame mode don't think your 20 point lead in the 4th will last. The CPU goes into GOD mode and makes EVERYTHING in the 4th. Winning by 10 or 20 is rare, it's most likely going to come down to the wire which is fun but frustrating when they make all their shots and Ray Allen can't hit a wide open 3.In all it's a pretty fun game if you put a few hours into it and get used to the controls. Get prepared to rage quit when the CPU blocks all your shots and hits everything in the 4th.

Awesome Game, Realistic
Great overall game, improved from last year's game. First of all, I am more of a football and soccer fan, and I still loved this game. I also would normally do an Association mode, but My Player is incredible. So much fun, so deep and detailed. The overall presentation is amazing, the best sports commentary of any game. Feels like your watching a game live. Rosters can be updated at any time with My2k Share. There a few bugs, and can sometimes be frustrating. You have to be careful with passing, turnovers will be easy to make at first. In My Player mode the teammate grading can be "ridiculous" at times, it's too sensitive. Otherwise this is a nearly perfect sports game. It's very realistic, fun, detailing and the presentation is simply awesome.ABSOLUTELY WORTH THE PURCHASE! A+

Excellent Game
I have been a fan of the 2K series after I started playing 2K10. I thought it was going to be incredibly difficult to top how 2K11 accomplished. It was simply was the most polished sports game ever to hit the market. However, after much deliberation I purchased 2K12 in January. I was amazed to find the depth that had been added to the game. Unlike most sports games which simply add roster updates and improved graphics (2K12 graphic are improved though), 2K added a tremendous amount of depth to the core game and even added an online franchise mode, which if you have friends with NBA love makes the game worth the money by itself. Overall, this is not just a roster update and is definite upgrade from the year before.

Best basketball game ever
Fantastic game. 2k improves the franchise every year, and it is more than just a roster update. My Player mode is loads of fun. Only complaints are ran into a few bugs in the online modes, especially online Association (which is awesome), but aren't game breaking or anything.
