A Value Created Photographer Tool
This product was very easy to assemble. In, use since it has no castors ... it stays where you put it. The approximately 10" of vertical adjustment is adequate for my needs. This is a sturdy, adjustable and lightweight tool. Given that it collapses, it is very portable and easily moves to location. Also, the legs are positioned so that one can fit another posing stool in for tight shots. If you are tired of intruding chair and cushion parts, ottoman edges, and the like in your portraits then this a solution for you. So in that regard, it is a time saver both during the shot and in the avoidance of editing sessions later. Further, it does help in posing your subjects as unlike a wheeled chair it doesn't move on you. This is one piece of equipment that I wish I had bought years ago. It creates value every time I use it.The only cons that I can see is that I wish it would adjust a little lower to the ground for children. I have had to fashion foot props for some portraits. So if it were possible to assign such scores, I think it is really a 4.5 star productI did initially think that the price was a little high. However, from use ... I am happy that I made this purchase and would do this deal again. I am planning on buying another one as my budget allows. Impact Posing Stool - 20-30" (51x76.2cm)

Works well as an astronomical observing chair
I use this posing stool as an "observing chair" at my telescope. I wanted something with a small footprint, lightweight/portable, and with easily adjustable height. This stool fits the bill perfectly at a very affordable price. Other specially made observing chairs are very expensive, and I doubt they are this easy to adjust or this comfortable to sit on. Its base is very stable, never a fear of tipping over. Assembly couldn't have been easier. The height adjustment gives plenty of range for my 6" Dobsonian telescope. Now I can sit in comfort while looking through the eyepiece, rather than stand, bent over at odd angles. The fact that I'm an amateur photographer means I just might use it for its intended purpose at some point, too. BONUS! I'm sure all the features that make it a fine observing chair make it an equally able posing stool. My only quibble is the sitting area is a bit small. Just a couple more inches in diameter would be more comfortable, and I doubt it would affect the weight, portability, or stability.

Good quality multi-purpose stool
Like another reviewer, I am using this as an astronomical observing chair at my telescope. I am using a small refractor, and I am sure it would also work well with a dobsonian. There is plenty of height adjustment, which is easy to do in the dark. The chair is light weight, and well constructed. The seat is a little hard, but works well. Comfortable for short sessions, which is all I need it for.

3 easy Peices
The stool is composed of 3 pieces, different than what the big sheet of directions would have you believe. I had a screwdriver ready and didn't need it. The base with feet came with the feet installed, the Pneumatic Cylinder was there encased in styrofoam, and the seat had the metal plate installed. All were in unopened boxes and looked brand new. So you put the base on the floor, put in the cylider and put the set on top. That is it! I am 200 pounds and it holds me at the highest height! Fantastic!

Great little stool
I like this stool because it doesn't have wheels, it doesn't have a ring around the bottom for people's feet, it's just an adjustable stool. It is just big enough, and it's fairly comfortable. Putting it together wasn't too hard (took maybe 10 minutes per stool). Getting one of the caps off the pneumatic cylinder was tough though. It shipped in a double box and overall the packaging was kind-of odd, but it worked. The instructions looked like they were for this model of stool and another model. I just put it together without it. I look forward to years of use out of it.

This Posing Stool is a "Must Have" for the Professional Studio!
I received the posing stool quickly and packed correctly. The instructions were clear and concise and much to my delight, the posing stool mounting base and pedestal feet were already assembled. Inserting the pneumatic cylinder and adding the seat cushion only took several minutes and the stool was ready to go. i have used many posing stools in the past. Metal ones mostly that quickly become scratched and "unappealing". No need to buy any additional "seat cushions" - the padded seat cushion is comfortable and "not to wide nor to small" to accomodate all subjects. The maximum height is great for the tallest subject and the seat easily adjust "up and down" to correct heights. The price? Perfect! A posing stool is a must have in any studio and the need to maximize the wide variety of expenses makes this stool a "must have!"
