ACT Fundamentals Training CD (2009 & 2008)

Act! Fundamentals is a powerful tool for users of Sage's contact management software. While I had virtually no previous experience in working with ACT, Act! Fundamentals guided me through the most important features of the software. However, even experienced ACT users will find the CD useful, with many hints, shortcuts and other valuable, time-saving information offered. The fast-paced CD is narrated by its creator, Elene Marsden, a certified ACT trainer. While the CD is best used with the actual ACT software opened on one's computer, it can also be used as a stand-alone teaching tool. I found the CD easy to use at the outset. The large, easy to read "radio buttons" guided me through "Get Started" to "Scheduling Activities", all the way through more complex functions such as setting up templates, mail merging and setting up custom fields. The CD easily allows for stopping and resuming the training, thus allowing it to easily accommodate a busy schedule. (I must say that I was so intrigued with Ms. Marsden's CD that I inspected her website, betteractnow.com. It offers a full suite of equally-fine on-line ACT training videos for both beginners and advanced ACT users.) Suffice to say that after one viewing of the hour long CD, I felt completely confident in using ACT and navigating its many complex features. Overall, ACT! Fundamentals is an outstanding and fun teaching tool and a real bargain!
