Did not come with instructions but not hard to figure out. Except the hose ring. I only saw by the pictures here that made me go "ohhhh that's where it goes"The reel itself will not last through a summer in Phoenix but it will do until I get something more sturdy. Main reason for having it is because the dog thinks all the pool hoses are snakes, I guess, and we have gone through at least five. Since this came with a hose, I figure it was less than the last hose I spent money on so I suppose there is value there.Easy set up. Works as intended with our leaf canister and side sucker.
