Authentic Knitting Board 60 Peg Toppers, Use with Rotating Loom,KB8360

Does exactly what it's meant to... They're strong and sturdy, a little heavier than a normal single hook (but not unpleasantly heavier). They're fairly sharp, so, be a little careful when using them. I haven't had much usage for the larger gauge hook just yet, but, if it performs like the smaller orange one; I'll have no complaints there :) I'm a fairly fast loomer, and the fast pace hasn't caused alarm at them snapping or cracking (I've had that problem with single hooks before lol)

I've bought other knitting looms , but only do single knit , but the quality of this is much better quality than any of the others . I think it's worth spending the extra to get the best as far as I'm concerned . Now I have bought most of KB looms because they are better than the rest , as far as I'm concerned .

Will be using it after Christmas.

Doesn't have the rotation tray waist of money will keep it though as one day l might be able to buy both of the rotating tray & clips. Not yet though as it is too expensive

Bought as a gift for an immediate member of the family, these are specifically designed to work with most of KB's knitting looms, both straight and round. They are also said to work very effectively with KB's rotating loom, the purchase of which prompted this order. Although ordered days later, the hooks arrived some days before that loom but the narrower one was used with another loom where the spacing was a perfect match. "Authentic Knitting Board Hooks, Purple/Orange" are supplied in two sizes, each in its own colour (no choice or variation). It was found that they are a perfect match for the knitting looms supplied by KnitUK, the wider purple one when used with the looms as supplied and the narrower orange one when the optional pink pegs are inserted into the intermediate vacant peg positions (all or some of them). They may not match any other brand of knitting looms as their peg spacing may be quite different. Due to the shaping of the handles, which are hard and inflexible, some changes in hold and technique may be required. It was found that when using a standard single hook that twisting a stitch from the hook over the head of a peg was sometimes easier but that would not work with these; the recommended method is to insert the hooks points down into adjacent stitches and then to gently lift them over the pegs. The points are quite sharp, not rounded as are most, and the body of the hook is more substantial than any other she owns - some were specifically purchased for their individual characteristics, e.g. soft-touch handles, lengthened hooks etc, but most came with looms and kits. Intended to speed-up knitting, they possibly will but not necessarily halve the time, at least not currently as current impression is that tackling a pair of stitches needs almost as much time as two singles. It may need additional practice to gain the speed increase promised.

Like another customer, I found out that the base doesn't come with the looms...despite photographs showing the looms mounted on the base! So, I've bought an unusually shaped paperweight... Maybe someone will be kind enough to buy me the base for Xmas! Not impressed...

Dieser Loom ist eine gute Ergänzung für meinen schon vorhandenen runden Doppelloom auf einem Drehteller. Die Pins sind enger, deshalb auch für etwas dünnere Wolle gut geeignet. Ich kann das Zusatzteil empfehlen, da es gut auf meinen schon vorhandenen Drehteller passt. Dieser Loom wird ohne Drehteller geliefert. Wie immer eine gute Qualität von Kb.

This double hook truly speeds up loom knitting when you are e wrapping. There is a learning curve but fast to get used to. I did break off two pegs from a blanket loom when I was knitting with a heavy blanket yarn. I did another blanket on an infinity loom without difficulty. The two different sizes cover both size pegs from the different manufacturers. Only wish it had a little silicone to soften the grip. It’s no big deal but when I am knitting a project I will knit for hours and my hand hurts after while. I cannot tell you how much I love this product because it truly speeds up the time of completion- seriously in half except when need to purl then need to use single hook

I bought this to hold in my hand and knit, as I don’t have a stand for these looms. I found it very comfortable to hold and manoeuvre. The pegs are thinner and closer together than on the standard round looms, which is why I bought them. I can use finer yarns, smaller than 8 ply, and get a lovely even knit. Very happy!
