Grigri 2 Belay Adult

Assisted braking belay device that can be used both outdoors or indoors on artificial walls. Light weight, durable and if looked after will last years. Petzl are a renowned climbing equipment company, so wouldn't expect anything less. The device allows for smooth laying out of rope when ascending and a smooth controlled descent when abseiling down. Very easy to use once you know how to belay safely and correctly. This one was a bargain price when I bought it.

Solid belay device and the standard for a reason, used in every disciple out there, from ice cragging to big walling in Patagonia this device does it all, as long as you don't want to use halves, twins or rappel normally it's a near perfect device.

I do alot of work on roofs fixing chimneys and pointing. After having people walk by the ladder and kicking it I looked into getting a rope,harness and assender/descender. This is an absolute great piece of kit allowing me to feel safer attached to the ladder and being able to lower myself if any problems. I have used it to lower tools and materials aswell with ease. Definitely be looking to get more in future.

I thought I had gotten the wrong item, but realized that the Grigri “2” isn’t in circulation anymore- they just upgraded the original Grigri to be the same thing! Works great and feels a little safer than the older models.

Il GriGri è, senza ombra di dubbio, il dispositivo di assicurazione più diffuso e fidato in falesia e in palestra. È un cambio di passo enorme in termini di sicurezza, specialmente per chi fa le prime vie da capocorda. La sua caratteristica di frenaggio assistito funziona in modo impeccabile, bloccando la corda in caso di caduta in una frazione di secondo. Questo ti dà una fiducia e una tranquillità che altri dispositivi dinamici non offrono, permettendoti di concentrarti totalmente sulla scalata. La sua robustezza e qualità costruttiva sono, come ci si aspetta da Petzl, al top. Però, ci sono un paio di note: Prima di tutto, per usarlo al meglio e fluidamente (soprattutto nel dare corda velocemente o nel calare), richiede un po' di pratica. Non è intuitivo come un secchiello e c'è una curva di apprendimento per padroneggiare la tecnica corretta. Secondo, è decisamente più pesante rispetto ad altri assicuratori, dettaglio che a volte si fa sentire quando lo si porta in giro. In sintesi: Se cerchi la massima sicurezza e sei disposto a investire un po' di tempo per imparare a usarlo correttamente, il GriGri è un acquisto obbligato. È il punto di riferimento del settore. Assolutamente consigliato a tutti, dai principianti ai più esperti.
