Very good
A very thin book, but still full of knowledge. It gives you a lot of different pujas (prayers) and gives you some insight on offerings.

Love this!
As I have studied yoga and gotten more into the history of Hinduism, I felt a connection with Kali. I really love this set - thanks!

Caution: this is a barebones pamphlet, at most.
This barely qualified as a pamphlet, much less a book.First of all, it is 20 pages long. "Thin" one other reviewer writes. Yes, very, very thin.Basically, this is a list of 21 extremely brief prayers, meditations, and ritual actions with no explanation or commentary. 2 of these are prayers to the author's gurus, Sri Ramakrishna and Sri Sarada Devi. A dashed off introductions provides little to no guidance, framework, or background for what follows. I won't say the title is misleading: it is simple, and there are instructions. But if I went to a puja, I might expect the material in this booklet to be handed out on a single, double-sided piece of paper, by way of a program, rather than sold for $15.It does have value, it is not in accurate to the best of my ability to discern. It's just not very useful on its own.

Just What I Was Hoping For: Simple and Authentic
A simplified yet authentic version of the Kali Puja of Sri Ramakrishna tradition (Kali Mandir of Dakshineshwar) in English! -- This is a rare gem that I had hoped to find but thought was impossible. The book is just what the title says: Simple. But not at all 'dumbed down'. It's entire purpose and design is for someone who reads English, but wants an authentic puja that can be practiced daily out of devotion to the form of Kali worshipped by Sri Ramakrishna (and Paramahansa Yogananda and Ammachi). It's obviously not going to be an elaborate puja book. I always research the sources, so if you want to be sure of the author's knowledge and spiritual authority to write this book (which, out of humility, he does not write about), one easy way I've found is to research the Kali Mandir Laguna Beach website where the author resides, and also read Kali: The Black Goddess of Dakshineswar and also the author's book Return to the Source: Collected Writings on Spiritual Life. This will show the direct connection the author and the Kali Mandir have with the Dakshineshwar Kali Mandir in India and its former head priest of 40 years. The font of this book is easy to read, the explanations and introduction are concise yet profound if read carefully. The power of this book, though, really lies in reading it and practicing its puja over a period of time.

Sorry Book
Pretty sorry book on the subject. I am surprised RK Mission allows this kinds of poor jobs to be published.

Not worth reading this book
I would not suggest anyone to purchase or read this book. This one just skips all important steps of Kali puja. It would be better if people go for more elaborate ones to understand the process, like the "Purohit Darpan" book written by Surendramohan Bhattacharya. The best book would be "Belur Moth er Kali puja" ( বেলুড় মঠের কালী পূজা ) . This one is readily available over internet. Also, refer to the youtube video on Kamarpukur Ramkrishna Mission kali puja for 2022.
