Pattern Name – Giraffe This is a 11CT Stamped Cross stitch. Each thread in this kit has 6 strands, please use 2 strands for "Full Stitch" or "French Knot" , and use 1 strand of thread for "Back Stitch". This is not an easy kit for beginners, the included english instructions do tell some basics about stamped cross stitch, but it's not a tutorial. For a complete beginner, you can search for everything you need to get started. Here are some tips about this kit: 1. The printed ink on fabric can be washed off easily. Just hand wash the finished fabric in lukewarm water with neutral detergent. 2. The threads are pre-sorted on the card, which is marked with Arabic numbers. Every number represents one particular thread. 3. On the printed fabric, you will see printed charts which show "Full Stitch", "French Knot" and "Back Stitch". For "Full Stitch" or "French Knot" , please use 2 strands of threads; For "Back Stitch", please use 1 strand of thread. 4. The chart on the fabric has 3 rows : NO. / Symbol / DMC. The first row " NO." is the Arabic number on the card, the second row "Symbol" represents the printed color on fabric, the third row " DMC" represent the DMC number of each Arabic number on the card. For example, the first column of the chart printed at the bottom of fabric shows " NO. 01, Orange triangle and DMC 152 ", this means you should use NO. 01 floss on the card to finish the Orange triangles printed on the fabric, since this chart is marked with "Full Stitch", so you use 2 strands of threads for this part. Fun and cute design, LOVE the pre-printed design!
Fun and cute cross stitch design. Kit has everything you need, including needles. I had never done a pre-printed design before and I've gotta say I LOVED it. It feels like cheating it made things so much easier and quicker. Washing it was pretty simple, I just put a little hand soap in a sink with lukewarm water and sort of swished it around for a bit. I had to change out the water a couple times, but all the printed color washed out pretty easy.

Perfect!
I was hesitant to buy this after reading some reviews, but it turns out this kit is wonderful. I've always done counted crossstitch in the past and if you miscount one area, it can mess up the whole thing and you have to rip out stitches. Very frustrating. Having a stamped pattern is wonderful. I was impressed with how clear the pattern was and so easy to read! Especially at my age of 61. I don't see a problem with running out of floss either. The kit gives the DMC numbers of the floss and I will just run to Walmart or Michael's and spend a mere 30 cents to get more. Easy! I did get confused when the instructions mentioned "back stitch, quarter stitch, half stitch" because as far as I can tell, the whole pattern only requires regular full stitch, unless I'm reading it wrong. I love this kit, the colors, the organization of it. I've been needing something to keep me busy and I will definitely be purchasing from this group in the future.

The King of the Zoo
This stamped cross-stitch kit exceeds my expectations. The giraffe character is adorable . . . I'm only half way through this project . . but I can tell it's a winner. The variety of colors and the winsome expression on the giraffe's face are a perfect combination. I have ordered, and completed, other eGoodn kits before; they never disappoint. I would not recommend this item for a beginner. There are many colors and many changes to complete the design; a little too much for someone just learning this fun craft.

Worth the time!
I loved everything about this cross-stitch. This was my first time doing a printed cross stitch, so I was worried about finishing it & the ink not washing out. However, I stuck it in my washer on a warm delicate cycle with my regular detergent & it came out great! The first picture was the original product, the second is it when I finished stitching it, & the 3rd is the final product after being washed. It came out so cute & im so proud lol. It took me exactly 34 days to complete & I didn’t run out of any floss. However, I was very conservative with it... cutting it once I was done with each section, rather than jumping around.

really love it but runs out of thread of each color.
i really love this pattern and this material. I love how it's color coded and not just a bunch of X's like other stamped patterns. very easy to read and work with. only down side is I keep running out of thread. The directions (to my understanding) say to use 2 threads doubled (making 4 threads in the needle) but I keep running out. If I did 2 threads single then it's too thin on the canvas. I'd had to use left over thread from other projects or not finish that color at all. That is the only downside and I bet it nothing but user error on my part. Other posts have stated they run out too so maybe it's not all me. I really love this project and love the brand. Will buy more if I can find more stamped patterns.

Tedious..
Tedious. I wanted to be able to do this in a few days... and gift it. After a few days not even 1/4 of it is done. My arms started hurting from extended lengths of time spent on it. I shelved it for now. I prefer smaller embroidery designs.This is great for someone who doesnt mind it taking weeks and only works on it in short increments.

This kit is delightful, fun to stitch and dazzling when finished. However, there was not enough floss for some colors. Further, upon completion, I rinsed it to remove the washable ink and grid lines and those colors ran. I know it was not the floss as the manufacturer used DMC floss. I've given it a second rinse with spot remover and hope that removes the light splotches of ink
