I absolutely LOVE this mascara
I don’t often write reviews, but this mascara is so dang awesome that I had to come throw in my two cents’.TL;dr: Amazing daytime/natural mascara. Easy to apply. Set it and forget it. Sooo easy to remove – if you do it the right way (hint: warm water mini-soak, NOT makeup remover, pulling, or rubbing). Choose a different mascara for a heavy/evening look.1) If you want a natural-looking mascara with light-medium weight, this is fantastic for that. Loved it the moment I tried it. I stopped wearing a lot of makeup in the last few years (especially foundation) and actually like my own face better now, what a concept. But I have the stupid situation of having very long, thick natural lashes (yay), except they’re so blonde/light that no one can see them (boo), which makes it like having no eyelashes at all, /laughcry. That’s where this comes in for me – and tbh what I’ve been looking for an effortless daily mascara for a while. I can put just a light coat on my eyelashes and they get to actually exist in all their glory. That said, if I wanted a medium-heavy/evening look or something infinitely buildable, sure, this probably isn’t the mascara for that and I would go with a different product. But for everyday/natural-looking mascara that doesn’t require a hazmat team to remove, I’m now looking forward to using this daily. It’s really pretty and my partner commented on how nice it looked.2) READ THE INSTRUCTIONS Y’ALL. Sure, it’s in 6pt font on the box, but it does say to use warm water to remove. This is NOT normal mascara that sits like wet paint or hair product on top of your eyelashes, and then you rub it to death with soap/remover to take it off. This is tube mascara, which is like a little dry shell around each of your lashes. It’s more like nail polish or gum, lol, where you don’t just start pulling on it. That said, this is hands down the EASIEST and gentlest mascara I have ever removed. Zero raccoon eyes! While washing your face normally, simply cup your hand(s) and fill with (pleasantly, not overly) warm water, then hold up to your eyes/eyelashes and let them “soak” in the water for a few seconds; do this a couple times until you can’t see any more mascara. Splash water on your face to rinse; do NOT rub your eyes or try to pull it off the lashes. The idea is to get water into the dried-on tubes so they lose their grip and merely slide off your eyelashes. You’ll see little mascara crumbs that rinse right off. If you don’t want to wash your entire face, it takes a little bit longer – a cotton ball or washcloth corner soaked with warm water and held to your eyes 2-3 times will totally do the trick. Gennnntly dab away the mascara once it’s soaked. Don’t think I’ve spent more than 30-60 seconds with either method. So fast and easy. (Bonus: don’t have to buy expensive/oily remover and you can take it off just about anywhere!)3) Dayum Gina, I do not miss the raccoon eyes! My last mascara would always get smudgy at the corners after a few hours because of my moisturizer or, you know, just existing too hard. Or would somehow cement itself under my eyes if I forgot to scrub at it in the shower. (Side note: My pry-it-from-my-cold-dead-hands moisturizer now is a pea-sized amount of Alaffia raw shea butter mixed into a smooth cream with a few drops of Trader Joe’s jojoba oil – my hormonal acne has never thanked me more, my skin has never looked better, it doesn’t cause breakouts or irritation, and I don’t have to spend $60/bottle for something that probably uses those ingredients anyway!) Anyway, because the mascara is completely dry/hardened and not at all oily, it can survive a variety of daily abuse, including seasonal allergies. (Just hope your tears aren’t too hot, or try to dunk your head in a hot tub, lol, since warm water is what removes it.) I’ve even done physical activity with nary a shadow in sight. Bravo, Clinique. So yeah, love this. Keeps my eyes happy and comfortable especially when wearing contacts. Just set your expectations accordingly.

My go-to, very best everyday mascara. Stays on all day but easy to remove.
This is hands-down my favorite everyday mascara. I have been using it for at least 10 years. A few times I thought I had found something better, but no, back to this, it’s better. I used to buy from Sephora, but they no longer carry it, so it’s either direct from Clinique or buying from Amazon, the latter being most convenient. Here’s what I love about this mascara: it applies beautifully, with definition and lengthening. Doesn’t clump, until you get to the bottom of the tube, and even then, not badly. It’s build-able too, so I can add an extra coat or two for going out in the evening. Last but not least- it stays on all day, no flaking or smudging, yet I can completely wash it off with non-irritating facial cleanser, no need for a separate eye makeup remover (I can’t stand those).

A+ and two thumbs up!
I would give this 10 stars if I could! I'm an older woman who has had an extremely difficult time finding mascara that won't smudge. I've tried them all; waterproof, smudge proof, etc. I do use an under eye moisturizer and a concealer which, I'm sure, is why all the other mascaras smudge after only about an hours wear. THIS product doesn't smudge at all!! Not at all. I can wear it an entire day without worrying about looking like a raccoon. I'm a believer!! A+ and thumbs up!

Pretty good product!
The carbon in the tube was thick and it coated and separated my lashes and gave it volume. It did not smear, smudge or flake and so far I am very pleased with it. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it is smaller than an average tube of mascara but over all I would recommend this and I’m done with the drugstore brands. I will buy this again

WORKS FABULOUSLY!
SOOO Happy I found this product - I am 62 years old and since I've gotten older, mascara generally smudges under my eyes and also on my eye lids. tried a million different kinds. I can sleep in this one and wake up with fresh looking eyes still. Comes off with warm water and gentle dabbing. When it comes off it looks like little pieces of flaky black stuff - I just splash water on my face and it is alll gone. No need to rub hard or anything, just warm water and a gentle washcloth.

Like the dryness, but it flakes
I'm undecided on this one. I love the small size of the wand and the drier formula. It's easy to apply and remove, and doesn't irritate my eyes. However, it flakes quite a bit. The flakes don't irritate, but they're obvious when they settle into my under-eye concealer. Also, this formula doesn't hold curl the way I hoped it would. I also lost lashes during application and removal. A bit of lash loss is normal; I can't tell if this was beyond normal. But I don't remember seeing as many lashes on my wand or wash cloth before.

VERY surprised! Best mascara!
I love this mascara!!! My eyelashes are super sparse on my right eye because of thyroid issues, but you wouldn't guess it looking at me after I put this on! Just unbelievable how quickly it lengthens and volumizes. I sound like a commercial lol, but this mascara is phenomenal. I usually use the perricone one, but this is cheaper and in fact is much better looking. I went with brown, but it's still kind of a dark brown color, and it looks beautiful, and less harsh looking than a regular black mascara. I'm more and more impressed with clinique makeup over the past two years or so.

Really Bad Mascara
This is one of the worst mascaras I have ever used. It flakes off into your eyes. It is extremely difficult to get off your eyes, and off your face. Using this mascara caused my eyes to look very irritated and tired, and some of my eyelashes fell out. I I cannot imagine how it got any good reviews. What a shame Clinique discontinued their Naturally Glossy Mascara. That product was the best mascara on the market and I have yet to find an adequate substitute. I don't know how much money I have wasted over the years on bad mascaras since Clinique discontinued Naturally Glossy Mascara. Maybe they will wise up, bring it back, and market it properly.
