I had a problem that the first one was lost in delivery, this was resolved. :)The product is great. I've used this style of portable induction hob before from a different brand the tefal one is far superior.One word of warning don't use the stirfry mode on maxium it bowed my pan!I will be buying more of these for a holiday cabin.

My electric kettle,hobs and oven and grill are costing me a fortune.We bought this halogen single hob to save on electricity. Our kettle uses the most electricity in our kitchen as my hubby drinks about 20 cups of tea a day.This tefal hob boils 2 litres of water in 2.5mins!! Quicker than a kettle at a fraction of the price. We bought the cheaper version.It looks very nice, easy to use, easy to clean and extremely safe to use around pets and children as the hob itself doesn't get hot.It's the heat from the pots that make it hot..you can put an ice cube next to your boiling pot and it won't melt!!I love it..haven't tried all the settings yet but I will try them all at some point.What I have tried work very well especially the boil water function with our whistle kettle..amazed at the speed.Doesn't take up much room either, so my invest in another one!!

Larger than expected so had to be returned

I have owned this hob for over 10 years and its proved its durability. Still works like the day I brought it. Used full time during summer months when we switch the gas off, and rely on solar power. Can take any size induction pan, so amazing capacity. Excellent value for money. Not as quiet as built in hobs but the noise is a good indicator of power being used. Registers 0.4 watts on simmer up to 2.6 watts to boil water.

Arrived on timed and so far is working well

As I have now discovered, many others have had the same experience as me - thought to start with that this hob is good, only to be disappointed a few months later when it blows the house fuse & stops working completely.When this happened to me it was within the guarantee period & I contacted the repair centre via Amazon. I was given a returns label & off it went. After several weeks it was returned but was smashed & totally unusable. I contacted repair centre again who sent me a returns label & told me a refund would be issued when it was received back by them.A few weeks later no refund but the same hob delivered back to my doorstep. When I opened it this time dangerous thin shards of glass fell out. It had been opened at the repair centre as all the paperwork (copies of correspondence) and my safe packaging had been removed. I've lost all faith in Tefal & this repair centre. Just so irresponsible to send such a potentially dangerous item with no packaging, except box it came in.I've given up hope of refund, can't face banging my head against that brick wall again

Fast heating

I cant believe how I have managed without this induction hob. It is very fast to boile water, and I did my whole dinner in a fraction of time compared to the gas hob.
