The Wire Connectors I Didn’t Know I Needed
I recently took on a few DIY electrical projects around the house and stumbled upon these Wago splicing connectors. Let me tell you, they’ve been a game-changer. No more twisting wires together and hoping for the best. These connectors make the process straightforward and secure. The assortment pack with 2, 3, and 5-port options has been incredibly handy. Whether I’m working on a simple light fixture or something a bit more complex, there’s a connector that fits the bill. The levers are easy to operate, and the transparent casing lets me double-check that everything’s in place. One of the best parts? If I ever need to make changes or corrections, it’s as simple as flipping the lever and adjusting. No more cutting and re-stripping wires. It’s made my projects more efficient and less stressful. If you’re into DIY electrical work or just want a more reliable way to connect wires, I highly recommend giving these a try. They’ve made my projects smoother and more enjoyable.

Best Invention Ever!
I used these for some 12V DC projects after a friend recommended them. They worked perfectly, clamped onto the wire and won't pull off. This variety pack was also cheaper than buying each size individually for the amount I needed. I also used them to wire an outdoor light fixture and they made it super quick and efficient to hook up so that equaled less time standing on the ladder. I have heard people say they're afraid the wire will pull loose, but I really do not see how. I pulled about as hard as I could and the wire didn't budge at all. These also have a wire stripping guide to show how much insulation to strip off. Overall I recommend these! Honestly, I can't wait to use them again just because they are so easy and quick to use.

Very solid connections, much better then wire nuts if you need to connect many wires
I use these for installing home automation devices where I might have a lot of wire in a junction box. If you use wire nuts you need to leave quite a few inches of wire in the box. so that you can twist them together. With Wago you can make the wires two inches shorter and zero skill is required to make a rock solid connection and it is very easy to take apoart years later if the device fails. At first, I was worried that the wago might not be a secure as a wire nut. But if you are connecting 5 wires then wago is way more secure, but for two wires, it is about even. I is easy to visually verify a wago, something you can not do with a wire nutBut they are expensive, I use other connectors, which ever is best in each situation. Wago is very good for dense boxes that are on the edge of being over filled. Wagos are best using in complex situations like were you have WiFi relays, and two switchs and two lights all in a big box.

Glad I finally tried these. Good variety. Simple for DIY.
I first heard about these from Sparky Channel on YouTube, there’s others who have their doubts but the concept seems sound. I had tried the Ideal connectors as I didn’t find WAGO at my big-box store, but they are not as good in my opinion.I ran into an electrical issue in a box on a circuit; it has an incoming hot cable, two other cables leading to several outlets in other rooms, and also two receptacles. So FIVE devices in one box. I’d found whoever wired it in the past did a bad hack job - I even found speaker wire! 🤦🏽♂️I pulled it all out, replaced one of the crumbling Bakelite receptacles, but when I put it back together some of the downstream outlets still weren’t working.I decided to just reorganize everything in the box, using 5-port Wagos to act as a “distributor”. One thing I did was I put the wires from the hot cable, into the port with the “Wago” marked on the lever. Then I’d always know which is the incoming hot just by looking. So much easier than using the conventional wire nuts; even the largest ones fit only a few wires. My hands cramp up and get painful when using the twist-type wire nuts, though I have found pliers sometimes help. Also if you twist these too much, the conductors can become stressed and even break. The Wago solves all of these. The other nice thing with the Wago is the wires can be easily removed if needed, without the need to cut or pull them out. The Ideal connectors require you to either cut or pull very hard on the wire to remove it. If you only have so much existing wire length to work with, cutting reduces the useful length even further, about a half inch at a time. Also while diagnosing a circuit (such as trying to figure out which cable goes to which outlets), the Wago makes this easier. You can put in just the hot and another cable, leave the others out, and then check which outlets are live. Then you can swap and repeat. And you can do this without having to undo the whole setup. (Obviously turning off the breaker in between each step!)

Great little devices
I know some electricians are curmudgeonly when it comes to these, but they are very useful, especially if you're working on setting up 3 or 4-way switches in an old house and are having to adjust your configurations. You do need to make sure the uninsulated end of your wires is trimmed to fit within the Wago however.

Get Connected
I really like these connectors. So much easier than traditional wire nuts. Especially if you need to undo wiring. Simply lift the tab and remove, no untwisting a group of wires just to remove one. They also take up less room in the electrical box.
