My daughter loved this book so much as a child that her kindergarten teacher let her keep the book. Now I've bought a copy for my grandson.

Apparently, this has been an issue since at least 2009, but Amazon hasn't updated the description to identify the fact that this is a TINY VERSION of the book.The story is hilarious, but I was expecting the regular-sized paperpack. The look on my face when I pulled it out of the package was probably hilarious, too. I was like one of those duped parents in Munsch's tales. Classic surprise.Buyer beware, the dimensions are listed in the product details. Now I know to look in the future.Enjoy the story, you're going to love it so much, one day when this is funnier, I'll be glad to have a pocket-sized version ;)

I don't know why everyone is freaking out about the size of the book - it shouldn't be a surprise to the purchaser, because the stated dimensions of the book is listed as 4.1 x 3.4 x 0.2 inches. It's obviously small, and Amazon isn't trying to "scam" anyone; they didn't hide the size of the book or anything that some of the other reviewers are saying. If you're looking for a regularly sized book, this isn't it - but it's clear on the description page that this is a small-sized book.Onto the book itself. This was one of my favorites when I was a kiddo, and I bought this tiny copy for my own son. He is still too young to really get it, but he likes the pictures (yes, even in the small book!) The story was funny when I read it 20 years ago and it's still funny today. I get bored re-reading a lot of kid books to my toddler, but Robert Munsch is hilarious and I don't mind re-reading any of his children's books.

My mom bought me this book as a kid because I really enjoyed drawing all over my body and I always remembered it. Recently my 3 year old has found the idea of drawing all over herself to be so SO much fun. I ordered this book in hopes to deter that, but if anything its just a laugh with her because she loves drawing on her arms. Such a cute book! Great for a little kid artist.

best book from my childhood

LOVE LOVE LOVE this book..... too bad the words are too small to read with my 1st grader :( I did not see that this was the micro-version of this book otherwise I would have looked for a different copy! Suggestion to seller - put in the title that it is the micro-version that way people aren't completely blind sided when they open the package. I bought this for my son to read but he didn't want to read it because the words were SO small.... in addition to the words being small, the sentences are grouped closely together so it makes it very difficult for new readers to enjoy such an awesome book. Overall - I'm underwhelmed with this purchase. I will be looking for a regular sized copy. I would return the product but it would cost me more to ship it back than what I paid for it.

I loved this book as a kid and recently signed up for a book exchange. I was surprised to find that the book was super tiny. It is only 2 inches by 2 inches. There was nothing warning me in the description that this is not a full size book. I'm not very pleased. I cannot give a mini book for the book exchange unless I want to look like an idiot. I love the story in the book, however this specific product is miniature and not appreciated.

Ugh... so obviously I didn’t read the reviews before I purchased this. It’s microscopic. No really... it’s tiny. It arrived in an envelope with some other stuff I ordered and when it fell out onto the floor I thought it was one of those user manuals for something else I had purchased. You know - the ones that are folded up super tiny and have directions in 10 languages??? Yeah. It’s ridiculously small. We actually laughed when we realized this was the BOOK I had purchased. Nowhere does it state the dimensions. And until now, I didn’t realize that was something I’d actually have to verify before purchasing a BOOK!I mean we love the story. My son’s kindergarten teacher used to read it to them and it was always one of his favorites so I bought a (teeny tiny) copy for us to have at home. But given the size, I am sure we will lose it immediately!
