Will answer a few Questions first.. Over all Happy
So far I'm enjoying this rig but am yet to get home and try it out on 4k at highest resolutions, I will adjust score once fully tested for a month or 2 but first to answer some component questions which MSI and EXCaliberPC were unable to either 1 look up the components or take the time to get my answers so customer support is already ranked low..1.What brand is the RAM? Samsung 16GB DDR4 PC4-21300, 2666MHZ, 288 PIN DIMM, 1.2V, CL 192.What brand is the HDD? Seagate BarraCuda Internal Hard Drive 2TB SATA 6Gb/s 128MB Cache 2.5-Inch 7mm (ST2000LM015) 5,400 rpm.3.What is the brand/model of the SSD ? Samsung PM981 Polaris 512GB M.2 NGFF PCIe Gen3 x 4, NVME Solid state drive SSD, OEM (2280)So pretty happy with components....4.What are the operating temps under load of the CPU and GPU ? CPU out of box 4.7 mhz= Idle avg 35c Load 76cGPU= Idle avg 35c Load 67cThese temps are playing "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands" on ultra settings 1080pOverall very happy with game play yet I do have a problem with them only using one stick of ram when only ordering the 16gb ram.. Why not duel 8's? Anyway I ordered another stick myself as I was not going to pay them roughly $100 to put a stick in at the factory :) .. Hope this helps anyone interested and will update ...Cinebench R15 score in the photoNOTE I bought this from EXcaliberPC here on Amazon and have no idea why it shows out of stock on that store page and they moved it here... exact same rig.UPDATE: After making 1 tweak and setting my fan to 50% when gaming the CPU runs at 30 to 35 c watching movies, surfing, multiple windows etc. and between 40c and 50c playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands at 3840 X 2160 4k Ultra settings 4.7 Mhz , Never had a throttling issue etc, love this CPU and rig

Hyper performance in hypo small package.
My configuration:OS Name: Microsoft Windows 10 HomeSystem Model: Z370 Gaming Trident X (MS-B926)Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz, 3600 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s)BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. 9.00, 10/8/2018Installed Physical Memory (RAM): 32.0 GBGraphics Card Name: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080Disclaimer: I did not purchase it from Amazon as I live in South Korea but thought that sharing my experience might help decide others. This is just my experience and no benchmarking (watch Linus’s video on youtube and read some online reviews for those). Why did I choose this?My priorities were clear ‘as powerful as possible in as small as possible chassis’ (I need to change my country after a year). So, I considered RTX 2080 laptops (with max-Q), but as I already have an ultrabook, that seems to be waste of money with degraded performance. I considered eGPU, but again even after spending lots of money, I was not going to get full benefit. I considered Alienware Area 51 and for my purpose, it seemed to be perfect; except it was way out too expensive (plus it has two very heavy power bricks). I liked the design and form factor of Corsair One pro, its round shape looks better but square shape fits better during packaging and Its more solid build added more weight. So, MSI Trident X fits exactly what I wanted…reasonably priced (though much expensive in South Korea), super powerful yet so small (see the attached pictures so see how well it sits with my set-up).My set-up:Just attach hdmi 2.0 cable with LG B7 TV, and good to go; that simple. It comes with an extra glass side panel to look (and stay) cooler. I added one more 1TB SSD and did thermal repasting as soon as I got it. Adding another SDD required, well not much of the effort (It comes with connectors arranged and extra connecting cables). Accessing RAM slots are tedious though, but I already have 32GB RAM, so I didn’t need to touch those.Overclocking:i9 9900k does not need any overclocking but nothing stops you if you want. It comes with awesome BIOS and a command center to regulate CPU, RAM, GPUs. I actually underclocked it for normal usage to keep it very cool (in high 30s to low 40s C) and quiet. BIOS also comes with overclocking preset, called ‘Game mode’ for quick and safe overclocking. So far no complains. Just to notify that it does not has any thunderbolt port. I needed to redo thermal paste because my local shop upgraded the CPU from 9700k to 9900k and I didn’t trust his work (thank God, he did very terrible job).Best part:Super powerful in small and surprisingly light body (with reasonable price).Worst Part:I hope nothing.

Best compact gaming desktop
As a person who is constantly on the go, the MSI Trident X has made my life so much easier. Its compact size and incredible performance ensure that no matter where I go, I can still always get the best gaming experience. Despite the small size and high end specs, it runs exceptionally quiet and cool. The tempered glass also makes the inside parts of the desktop stands out more given the attention to detail MSI team has put.My desktop configurationIntel Core i9 9900K 3.6GHz (16M Cache, up to 5.00 GHz) 8 Core CPU, NVIDIA RTX2080 8GB ARMOR Video Card, 32GB SODIMM DDR4 (2 x 16GB, 2 x Slots) 2666Mhz Memory, 512GB M.2 PCIe SSD + 2TB 5400rpm HDD, 1 x HDMI, 3 x DisplayPort, Gigabit LAN, Wireless-AC, Bluetooth v4.2, USB 3.1 (Gen1) Type-C, USB 3.1 (Gen1) Type-A, USB 3.1 (Gen2) Type-A, USB 2.0, Windows 10 Home, Includes Gaming Keyboard and Mouse. To get the full benefits of this high performing desktop, I'd highly recommend getting a good 4K monitor with G-Sync technology. I have ordered mine to complete this setup but still waiting for the delivery. I will post an update once the setup is complete.Overall, I am very satisfied with the MSI Trident X and looking forward to the next innovation from the company.PS: this is my first MSI product and I'm in love with this company now.
