This GE remote control supports all the popular devices and is very easy to set up. Battery life is great and retains the programming when changing battery. The backlit keys are very useful for using the remote in the dark.

Great remote BUT I missed the fine print that states it does not work with the Roku Streaming Stick. Apparently the streaming sticks use a different remote configuration (wi-fi I believe). I was bummed because it worked great for the TV and AV Receiver we have. The master volume control was the main reason for this purchase. If it controlled the Roku we have I would have kept it.

I purchased this remote hoping I could control my TV, cable box, Blu-ray player, and sound bar with one control. This remote has served that purpose for me. It wasn't too hard setting it up with my different devices, but it will take you some time. There are different codes to use for different models and devices. Some codes might give functionality with certain buttons and not others, while others codes will give you the most functionality and features when trying to press different buttons. It takes time to try the different codes, then press the different buttons to see which codes performs the best.I love the backlighting of the remoted for night time and that it can be turned on or off. The buttons all have a nice touch/feel and are very responsive. It's a decent sized remoted not too large to be uncomfortable to use, but not too small that you'll lose it every day. I've been able to set it up to control just about all the features I had when using the stand alone TV or cable remotes. The feature I can't seen to get on this remote is a page up, page down function. Which helps when viewing guides quickly for cable and streamers. Maybe their is a way to achieve a page up/down function which I couldn't figure out who knows. Even still I love this remote and for the price if a great quality, I'd recommend it to anyone.

I had an older Harmony universal remote that I liked but over the years (many years)the product was no longer supported and equipment upgrades could not be programmed into the unit any longer. I needed a replacement which was affordable and handled basic tasks. With equipment updates the on/off procedures actually got simpler as each unit could also control certain functions of other pieces. This unit works. Not as seamlessly as the Harmony as I need to push a few more buttons but for the money this does the job and pretty well. The programming is somewhat tricky as the codes are not intuitive and there may be a few for a specific unit, such as my Verizon box. I was lucky and the first code I programmed seems to do all the old Verizon functions but there were two more I could also try. In my case turning on my TV also turns on my receiver so no separate programming required for that. The buttons are backlit with blue and are easy to read in the dark.

Bought this to replace a GE 4 device remote after some of the buttons stopped working. I like the larger form factor of this remote, and the backlight feature is great at night. The backlight button even glows in the dark! No setup required for me as this remote comes preprogrammed for Samsung TVs and Roku devices, which is what we use. AA batteries should give it a longer life than the AAA on the previous model. I like the purple accents on some buttons as well; they really contrast with the brushed black design nicely. The other color options all look great too. If you’re looking for a great affordable universal remote look no further!

This is a very nice remote. I am really impressed by how easy I set it up. Works like a charm. I have my TV, satellite and both of my blue ray players controlled by it. Everything that I want to do is easily done with this remote. It did take a few minutes to figure out how, but it does do it. It was a very good price and I'm glad I got it.

Worked fine for a week or so and now the up and down buttons don’t work. I replaced batteries and they still don’t work…unreliable. I wouldn’t recommend
