What gauge is the wire? I want to extend just the negative to work with a leisure battery installation (one connection at each end of the system)

The GC002 wires are 16-gauge. We do not recommend modifying the accessories.

Are the gc002 compatible with the noco genius2x2 please?

Would it be fine to connect this via a bus bar rather than direct to battery terminal?

You can connect it to where you would connect a charger, should there be suitable fixings.
