Does the removable grate/pan come unhinged easily?
I saw an accesory for barbecues where there is kind of long crate the goes in the middle of the charcoal grill and you can put water in it.?
Will this grill grate fit a stoke drum grill 22.5?.5
The original grate in my Weber Premium lasted 2 seasons then rusted. How long will this one last?

Feels heavier and better made the the original 5*
I've had my Weber Performer BBQ for 20 years now. It's still going strong with the enamel drum still in good condition.Inevitably you have to replace the grill and grate after a certain period of time due to wear and tear.This replacement certainly feels heavier than the original and is very well made. Same as the grate which came on a separate order.It's a false economy buying a cheaper 'lookilikey' versions as they are invariably thinner, possibly a bit smaller diameter wise and rust very easily.Weber is by far the best. More than happy. A worthwhile investment.

Better than the original one that came with the BBQ.
With the arrival of spring, we decided to overhaul our BBQ ready for the longer evenings and (hopefully) warmer weather. We desperately needed a new grate and decided upon this one because of the handy opening in the centre.Upon arrival we were very pleased to observe the sturdy quality of this grate. It is obviously a much superior quality to the original one that came with our Weber grill. The bars are much quicker and the whole thing is heavier and has a quality feel to it. We have also got the cast iron centre part on back order, and we believe that with these two pieces combined, we now have a far superior bbq grill to the one we originally had.

First impressions are really good,it had official Weber card attached and first few uses are good! Time will tell how it stands up over time Using indirect and vortex cooking

Weber 8835 Gourmet BBQ System Hinged Cooking Grate. As expected - straight out the packaging.Bought as a gift using Amazon Prime. Not the cheapest seller but was available now. Disappointed to find out that Retailer does not despatch weekends and used a DPD delivery service which was also late

There are a number of inserts which sit in the space in the middle for cooking. I am certain that I've had mine for 4 years or so and it is rust free. I never clean mine immediately after use, only before the next use once the grill is up to temp.
