How long does it last?

3-4 months before it wears off, but we found that once a bird has landed on it, they tend to avoid it. We put it on our trellis fence around our patio and rarely have birds landing on it. We put some more on at the beginning of summer as a reminder for them and this works.

can it be used on tree branches?

I placed it along a latch lap fence and it worked perfectly. Kept the pigeons off the fence. I am not sure if it would damage the tree . But I would use it

Will the gel stain a glass conservatory roof

I think it would be very difficult to get off as it very sticky. We put it on a wooden trellis fence.
