HON Office Chair Mat for Carpet, Computer Desk Chair Mat for Carpeted Floors, Easy Glide for Office or Home with Extended Lip (36” x 48”)

I weigh 200 pounds and this mat made it nearly 4 years before I had to replace it due to cracking. I am at my desk for at least 40 hours per week. I am not too sure how long they are supposed to last but 4 years seemed reasonable given the high use.

This is sturdy and of good quality. Perfect for my carpeted office.

It was really wrong up but a neighbor not it unwound and it is okay.

The product comes rolled up and is made of a soft flexible plastic. It comes as advertised. It was not, however, what I was expecting. The worn out one that it replaced was made of harder plastic and had a larger area. The wheels of my office chair sink in and do not roll as easily on a softer surface. I regret not going to Office Depot and purchasing the more rigid larger size. That is the reason why my rating is guarded even though it is my own error for not measuring carefully and for researching the choices in haste. If you prefer a firm surface that rolls smoothly and has lots of chair rolling area, consider other options. If these things are not important, you should be ok with this product.

Excellent finish and supports rolling chair movement without any issues. I need another one and will go with a larger one!

While this mat will likely protect your carpet in the long-run, the other aspects of this made me wish I would have gone with another brand. First, as most mentioned, getting this to lay flat is hard. The packaging size makes it so the mat needs to be tightly rolled, which is further exacerbated by the cold weather. I have had 50lb weights on it for two days, and it is still curling. Im sure this will go away after some time, but holy cow is this unnecessarily annoying.However, for me, the biggest con of this product is the size. While it boasts about having an extended size for your feet, do you really need protection from the chair there? The mat is EXTREMELY small for what I would think a product like this should be. If you literally never roll around in your chair, this will be okay, but otherwise, any small roll left/right/back will have your chair rolling off the mat onto the carpet, which then snags on the mat because its likely not fully flat as previously discussed.Lastly, a minor issue is that this mat just seems like very thin plastic. After sitting in the same position for ~30 seconds, there are massive divots in the mat and my carpet (which is low pile, so it shouldnt imprint into as much as it is) which make moving harder.All in all, if this product was $20 or $30 I would just be upset and move on. However, for approx $50, these issues should not be happening. I will be asking for a refund on this product and finding a bigger, sturdier one elsewhere.

This gets really stiff when rolled up, so plan to put some heavy stuff on it to settle it.
