very effective & useful for my knee pain

I have a knee problem. I have been prescribed (and taken) glucosamine tablet courses before by the ortho. Thought I'd try this new variant since pain was worse (especially after coming back to cold Bangalore from a warm Mumbai stay). Been taking it for 30 days, 1 capsule per day. To my shock, I'm finding that the knee locks up after 5-6 hours of the tablet and is extremely painful to step up or down. This never happened before. I've stopped taking them and the pain seems to be moderating.
