Good product, good ingredients, a bit pricey
I used this hair mask product for the first time today. First, the positives are:--It goes on dry hair and scalp for approx. 20 min. before showering. For me, this is much more preferred over the ones that go on wet hair while in the shower and then instruct you to leave it in for 20 min. once you're in the shower. I am way too lazy to want to be in the shower, apply a mask to my wet hair then wrap my masked hair in a towel, dry myself off and wait 20 min, then go back into the shower with two extra towels that now need washing. This hair mask is already ready to shampoo out once you go into the shower simplifying the procedure.--It goes on very thick and dense giving me a feeling that it is working to condition my hair while waiting the 20 minutes.--It comes in a 7.7 fl. oz. jar which is a diameter of 3 11/16" and 2 3/8" tall. I have long hair so it will probably not last me as long as normal but based on the first session, should at least give me 8-10 treatments - see photo for what's left after my first treatment.--This product has many excellent ingredients and is free from sulfates, phthalates, silicones, paraben, mineral oils, synthetic fragrances or dyes. For the not so positive:--The smell of this product is kind of sticky sweet. Not super pleasant. I had it on for the 20 min. while waiting to take my shower and even my dog left the room! Glad it's not a conditioner where the aroma would remain on my hair after the shower. While in the shower after just wetting my hair, my hair felt very smooth and silky, not at all sticky, even though I had not yet shampooed the mask out yet. After shampooing, I used conditioner then once out of the shower, I completed my normal hair routine of using some brazilian blowout and anti-frizz lotion while it was wet. After I blow dried my hair, I noticed it was nicely smooth and a bit more shiny than normal.I feel this is a really good product with good ingredients, however its priced at 2 to 3 times more than what I normally spend on a hair mask and although the results were good, I didn't exactly see 2 to 3 times more results.

Left my hair feeling silky soft
I live in the desert where the low humidity makes keeping your hair from drying out a challenge. After trying a lot of products, I have to say this hair mask ranks up there among my favorites. The scent is pleasant, herbal and slightly nutty. The texture is rich and fairly thick. When you put it on, you're instructed to massage it first into your scalp, but my hair instantly started to clump and mat. This worried me because I figured it would end up tangled. No worries. I washed it and the mask left my hair smooth and super easy to comb out. No need for a conditioner or detangler (in fact, if you have fine hair like mine you will want to skip the conditioner). Once my hair dried it felt so silky! I love it and will use it at least once a week.

Works well, but oh man, this is pricey!!
Okay, to start, I am going to rate this as best I can on the different factors that matter to me and I think might matter to you.Smell.The smell. There's definitely some kind of mint in this. I don't know if it's like a menthol, a peppermint, spearmint, but there is some kind of mint in here. Or, maybe it's eucalyptus. I'm not sure. But it definitely has a very minty smell. There are undertones of some type of herb that I can't quite place, but I know I've smelled before. I don't hate the smell, but I don't love it. I really like the smell of earthy things, and I really like the smell of herbs. It's honestly the mint that gets me more than it is the smell of the earthy undertones. I think it's the mixture. You're not just getting the smell of mint you have those earthy undertones. And you're not just getting the earthy undertones, you're getting the mint. It's a little bit of a weird combination. But that being said, I also understand because mint is stimulating, and if you're adding the herbs in for hair growth. You would need to do both together. So, the smell for me isn't a huge deal because it doesn't smell bad. It just smells weird. I can deal with weird. Heck, if it makes my hair grow. I will love weird!!Texture.Next would be the texture. This has a really nice creamy texture. A lot like a whipped cream cheese. Although not as thick. Maybe more like a whipped butter. It's actually a really nice texture. It massages into your hair really well. My 13 year old daughter is the queen of hair masks. She has extremely thin hair. Probably thinner than even mine, and she makes hair masks constantly. I often go into the kitchen to find coffee, banana, egg, and a miriad of other random ingredients coating the counters and in the immersion blender... Lol. She's a riot. I'm having her try this too. Then I can smell her head and see the results better than my own.But anyway, next!...Size of the tub.Honestly for thin hair, which myself and my younger daughter both have, this will probably last us a while. We don't really need to use a lot because we have thinner hair. If my older daughter used it, she'd probably have to use half the tub in one sitting. So that is definitely going to be a factor if you are purchasing this and you have really thick hair, You are probably not going to get near the treatments out of it that someone with thin hair would get, and at the listed price I don't know that any mask would be worth it if you had to use a massive amount just to coat your hair.Next!!Next, after leaving the mask in for the 20 minutes, and shampooing and conditioning, I can honestly say that the hair feels amazing. It feels like after you would put a hair mask in, leaving in for a while, brush it through your hair, and then rinse it shampoo and conditioner, it has that silkyness. But not after doing those steps. Just using the hair mask and then shampooing and conditioning. So it definitely works well. The biggest question is, is it worth it? I honestly can't say that it is. I'm going to continue to use this and Austin's review down the road. This is supposed to make your hair grow. So, if I suddenly see my hair growing faster than normal, I can definitely attribute it to this. As I'm not doing anything else to stimulate hair growth. For now, I will say that it's a great mask, but the price is way high. For that, I docked a star.
