Most definitely. I have 3 of these monitors connected to my MacBook Pro. Crystal clear!

Is the screen glossy or matte

It is matte. HP only uses glossy screen protectors on 25 and 27-inch monitors (and they look better because of them).

Does it have in built speakers?

Negative on built-in speakers. Despite the lack of internal speakers, I would rate this display >5 stars if I could!! PLEASE BE AWARE that, in my experience, 90% of displays with built-in speakers are not going to provide any sort of quality audio. Consider the AmazonBasics U213 USB-powered speakers ($17) for standard volume/quality external speakers, or the AmazonBasics F720US AC-powered speakers ($26) if you want a little more!
