It is big enough and deep enough to sous vide a reasonable size joint of meat
My sous vide stick fitted without an issue, the box it comes in is perfect to store the appliance when not in use. The container fits a family size joint ( 6+ serves) nicely. We have cooked a boneless leg of lamb, beef joint and pork loin all successfully. My largest stock saucepan could not do the job. The downside is, the container has no insulation and I could not find a jacket for it on sale. The first couple of times, I used towels, but it looks untidy so I had a cover that went under, up the sides and across the top using wadding encased in cotton. This has worked well, looks neat and tidy and fits into the container for storage.

Does what it’s meant to
Exactly what it should do, good lid. Make sure you get the one that’s designed for your sous vide wand, and the right size. This one was a little on the small side for larger pieces of meat ,

Does the job.... precisely.
What to say about a plastic tub? Turns out.....well designed, functional must have for Sous vide cooking. It has litre marks up to side, up to 11 so that's really helpful. The lid fits well and is compatible with my VPCOK sous vide, also ordered from Amazon. When filled, very sturdy, holds the sous vide well. Good steam retention and has a temp guide of -40 to 110c so keep an eye on that. Plenty of room to cook SEVERAL items at once.Highly recommended.

Perfect for C41 and E6! 🎞📸
Firstly, I don’t use this for cooking! I bought this to use as a temperature control for home film development. The temperature ranges from 25c upwards (I think up to about 90c), so this range is perfect for C41 and E6 chemistry. It comes with a clip stand that hooks over the wide of a tub for the water bath. I bought a 15 litre tub for £25 at the same time but this now holds my films ready for use since I’ve replaced it with a couple of larger ones from a large supermarket for £2! Save your cash and get those instead.I heard that these don’t warm water up from the Temperature that comes out of the tap, but this one does, and it does it reasonably quickly.I simply place the glass bottles in the water bath, turn the sous vide on and set temp to 41 until the temp inside the bottles reaches 38, then knock the temp control back down to 38 to avoid waiting ages for that last bit to even out. Whilst it is heating up, I then load the film onto the Rees in the dark bag. This holds the temp across the whole bath to within 0.5c, which is really impressive! This only goes down to 25c. I would have liked it to go to 20c, since in winter in my shed it can get nippy and would allow for a more consistent temperature control, but this is much less critical than C41 and E6 so it’s not really a massive issue.Prior to buying this, I used a mixer hose and my son’s old baby bath, hunched over the bathtub. It wasn’t really a fun experience. I wish I’d bought one of these ages ago!

Not BPA free
Although the title of this product claims it's BPA free, it's actually not as it's made from plastic from category 7. Considering this is sold as a sous vide item, which means it'll be used to prepare (albeit vacuumsealed) food, and heated for long periods of time, this is unacceptable. While food grade plastic code 7 is considered safe for food packaging, there have been concerns raised regarding certain constituents, such as bisphenol A (BPA), that may be present in specific resins, including polycarbonate (PC).
