Red Tiger F7NP 4K Dashcam: main camera quality is brilliant
Red Tiger F7NP 4K Dashcam: A Comprehensive Review for Road Safety and Peace of MindAs someone who values both cutting-edge technology and road safety, I'm excited to share my in-depth review of the Red Tiger F7NP 4K Dashcam. Having thoroughly tested this device, I can confidently say it's a strong contender for anyone looking to upgrade their vehicle's recording capabilities.Unboxing and First ImpressionsThe Red Tiger F7NP arrives in a compact package, immediately impressing with its sleek design. The unboxing experience reveals not only the main 4K dashcam but also a secondary rear camera, a 32GB microSD card (a thoughtful inclusion!), and a range of essential accessories like the power adapter, cable supports, and even an installation tool. The attention to detail in the packaging and included components is commendable.Key Features & SetupThis dashcam is packed with features designed to enhance your driving experience and provide crucial evidence if needed. The standout features include:* Stunning 4K Resolution (Front Camera): The clarity of the front camera's 4K footage is exceptional, capturing sharp details that are vital for identifying license plates and other critical information.* Full HD 1080p (Rear Camera): While the rear camera records at 1080p, it still provides clear and reliable footage of what's happening behind your vehicle.* Built-in Wi-Fi and GPS: These features are incredibly convenient. Wi-Fi allows for easy access to your recordings via a smartphone app, while GPS accurately logs your speed and location, adding an extra layer of data to your videos.* Loop Recording & G-Sensor: Standard but essential features, ensuring continuous recording and automatically saving footage during collisions.Initial setup is straightforward. The menu is intuitive, allowing you to quickly select language, time zone, and customize settings like video resolution, audio recording, and G-sensor sensitivity.Installation – A Breeze with the Dongar AdapterOne of the highlights of my installation was using the optional Dongar adapter that I bought separately. This ingenious accessory allows the dashcam to draw power directly from your car's rearview mirror, eliminating the need for a long, visible cable running to the 12V connector. This seamlessly integrates into the car's existing wiring, resulting in a much cleaner and more professional-looking installation.Performance: Video and Audio QualityThe true test of any dashcam is its recording quality, and the Red Tiger F7NP truly shines here.* Video Quality: I was particularly impressed with the front camera's 4K clarity in various lighting conditions. Daytime footage is crisp and vibrant, and even in challenging morning and nighttime scenarios, the camera maintains excellent detail. The dual-camera view is a fantastic feature, allowing you to see both front and rear perspectives simultaneously. While the rear camera's 1080p resolution is good, it's important to ensure optimal placement to avoid any obstructions, as I initially experienced a minor shadow due to placement.* Audio Quality: The dashcam also captures clear audio, which can be crucial in documenting incidents.ConclusionThe Red Tiger F7NP 4K Dashcam is an excellent investment for anyone seeking a reliable, feature-rich, and high-performing dashcam. Its 4K front camera, comprehensive features, and user-friendly design make it a standout product in its category. The optional Dongar adapter is a game-changer for a clean installation, and the overall video and audio quality provide peace of mind on the road. I highly recommend this dashcam for its quality and value.

REDTIGER 4K (Front/Rear Camera) Dash Cam
This was my forth attempt at replacing my 7 year old Amazon purchased “Road Safety Guard” Dash_Cam which had developed a little fault. The first 3 attempts all had faults with the rear camera; either with the connection or the rear camera ‘view’. So I decided I would have to spend more money on a better Dash_Cam. And this item was well worth the extra. On ordering the item, I received an email offering any help required. Item then arrived secure and neatly packaged, containing the items shown in the photo. Note the ‘tool’ for locating the cables behind the interior trim. Also note that the GPS is part of the Windscreen suction cap. The 32GB SD card was already fitted in the unit.I think the user manual is informative and easy to understand, although I do have previous experience of Dash-Cams. What I liked immediately was that both cameras fit to the glass, no fixing/screwing to the vehicle trim/body. Also a plus is the ‘jack-plug’ type connection to the rear camera, more substantial than a mini-USB. Having said that, the power supply input is an up to date USB-C plug/socket; impressive.Although I have not fitted it in the car yet, I was able to test this dash cam using my (Amazon purchased) ‘Power-Pack’. Initially formatting the SD-card, as instructed, and then setting ‘date/time’ - as I had not fitted the GPS. I set both units looking at a garden view and left running for several hours on a ‘5 minute loop’ and ‘1440p+1080p’ resolution setting. This recording was started before and through dusk. When the power supply is disconnected the unit automatically shuts down.I then extracted the SD card, and after locating it in an ‘adapter’, plugged it to the PC. What you will find then is that the various recordings are all put into different ‘folders’ making them easier to find/look at. ie:- front & rear videos; ‘secured’ videos; photos. Note; I initially used “VLC media player” to display the files as “Windows Media Player” does not work! (as in instructions). I was pleased with the results and there seemed to be fairly good videos even in the dark.Further information: The SD card provided was a Lexar 32GB U1 when a U3 minimum is recommended! I have since purchased an “Amazon Basics - MicroSDXC, 128 GB, with SD Adapter, A2, U3, Read Speed up to 100 MB/s” - which maybe made by the same company as the Lexar? This I have Tried & Tested and it worked well. I also connected the GPS, and after a little while, the camera’s current location appeared. I again left the cameras recording for several hours. This time when I displayed the videos on the computer, I used redtiger’s own player which is great, because it will also bring up a ‘google map’. This player can also be installed on your phone. When using the 128GB card, I calculated that using the ‘front 1440p+rear1080p’ resolution setting, one should get about 17 hours of recordings before the card becomes full and starts overwriting.I will also mention that I had a little anxiety about the front assembly suction cap. I contacted the seller, by replying to that initial email, about my concern. No problem; I was immediately sent a new complete assembly. Absolutely wonderful service from Karen; Thank You.One last thing; I’m a 76 year old male...

Great quality and works well
Spent a lot of time deliberating what kind of dashcam to get. Many many scammy devices out there, but im pleased to say, this one is just the ticket. Its great picture quality up to 4k, so when you need to zoom in you can. At first I used the free 32gb card that came with it, the gps suction cup, and the plug in cord. I've since upgraded to 250gb and a 3rd party hard wire kit so i can keep a timelapse eye on when its parked up. Loop recording works ok, it will save about 3 weeks on that size card on the settings i have. Sound is on the thin side, but to be expected. vibration sensor has different levels to choose. very quick to boot up. only minor lag when going through menus. The cons are that I wish the rear camera was the outdoor version. I thought about maybe using it for inside the cab of the van but haven't. Also, the wifi is a bit slow downloading to your phone. I keep clips to 1min at 1080p. For this reason, I would recommend getting the newer upgrade model that has faster wifi, more camera channels and outdoor cam.Overall, instructions are adequate, the app is decent enough. When you have the clips downloaded, it gives nice GPS info and easy to share or save to cloud. Would I recommend this version? Yes, I would say good basic camera and excellent value. Now that I've used it a bit though i can see the benefits to an upgrade if i wanted to cover all my basis.
