Nice set of stairs.
Very sturdy stairs for the pool. Make sure you buy the weights for it. It will float other wise and you need a rug to put under to help to not dig holes into the bottom. The book that came with the stairs states 250lbs but my son and sister who are the heaviest in the family uses it quite often with no problems. The railing are flimsy but will keep everyone sturdy going up and down.

The XtremepouwerUS 4-Step Above Ground Swimming Pool Ladder is a great addition to any pool, offering both safety and convenience for users. Designed for above-ground pools with deck heights ranging from 48" to 54", this ladder is both durable and easy to install. One of the standout features is the double handle rail, which provides extra support and stability when entering and exiting the pool. The slip-resistant steps are another great addition, ensuring safe use even when wet. The white finish gives it a clean, sleek look that complements most pool designs. While the ladder is solid and sturdy once set up, some users have noted that it may take a little time and effort to assemble properly, especially when securing it to the pool deck. However, once installed, it functions smoothly and offers peace of mind for both adults and children.Overall, the XtremepouwerUS 4-Step Ladder is a reliable choice for above-ground pool owners, providing a safe and user-friendly way to access your pool.

Great purchase!
Height & width are nice. It doesn’t come with the sand that is needed but you only need 1 bag. It was easy to assemble if you looked at the pictures. It’s so much better than the janky ladder that comes with an above ground pool. We attached it to a deck and purchased a mat to go under it to protect the pool bottom.

Perfect addition to the pool!
Very sturdy on the step platform , very easy to assemble! Our above ground pool is 4 feet deep and 20 ft across. The handrails aren’t extremely sturdy but does the job it was meant for. Also - I saw another post and knew they needed a weight with it. True - they WILL float without it. You can buy the weights that are made for it ( doesn’t come with it ) but we bought rubber covered hand weights and work like a champ. I would recommend these steps. Made a huge difference in entry and exit to the pool.

Decent for the price.
For the price this is a fairly good stair style pool ladder. I can no longer climb the ladder to get out of the pool so this style is my only option. I agree with others the rails are not the sturdiest so if you absolutely need them to get in and out look for something that’s more stable.. luckily I do not require them to get in/out yet. Assembly was pretty easy but definitely lost attention because some of the step pieces only have small differences and they are relevant. It did take what seemed like a lifetime to sink this thing (and assistance from two 10lb weights and a 9 y/o in the pool) so patience is key! Overall for the price I can’t complain. Most ladders on the market are only holding up for a couple of seasons anyway (especially in Ohio).

Ladder or pool float?
We were so excited to get these steps. They arrived and we waited to assemble them until the weather warmed. My husband put them together and the assembly out of the box was fairly easy....so far so good. Well summer took awhile so we anxiously waited for the warm weather to use our new steps-Day one! We put them in the pool..... and watched them float and bob......so we stood on them to fill with water- as it lifted from the bottom and bucked us off like a little pony!Out went the steps and back in went the ladder as we tried to figure out what to do-Sand won’t work as it leaches out the little holes- next try -Weight it down with nearly 80 lbs of weight and zip ties-Nope! As I sat on the steps and they gently rose from the depths again- sweetly tossing me back in the pool yet again. Can we return? Nope to late. So now we were determined that if we spent this much money on this floating death trap we were going to make it work.My husband got a small white garbage can that fit in the under section and zip tied it to the frame....Next! Fill the Kubota tractor with river rock- drive it to the pool- one by one fill the $@#*#% can with rocks to the brim (and it needed to be the the brim) as we cross our fingers it would work.Voila! The ladder actually doesn’t float! We secured it to the deck and now our fingers are crossed. The handrails are flimsy and while we like the ease of getting in and out on the strips we are also dreading anything possibly disrupting the steps- like grandkids actually using them as children do!I won’t even imagine trying to get them out.....I would not buy these again or recommend them- as much as I want steps and not a ladder there has to be something better.

Has been working well for a few years - added screws to stabilize the handrails.
We have had this for a few years now, had to add some screws to reinforce the handrails. You will need 6 bags of play sand to keep the stairs from floating up. The plastic fill caps tend to crack over time, the manufacturer provides 2 replacements.

Great steps
Very sturdy and nice-looking steps. I like the way the steps are mounted on the top of the side pieces, (not inserted in the side pieces like some I compared with). The crossbar underneath was a concern to me of coming off, so I added (2) SS screws to keep it in place. Manufacturer suggested using sand to hold the steps in place, I used a 20# plastic covered weight and used plastic tie straps to hold in place underneath steps, (pictures shows weight on bottom step, before I strapped it underneath. Will make it easier to remove and pull steps out for cleaning/storage, without the weight of wet sand).
