Amazing device for fast tasty cooking and simple to use!
I bought this after watching TONS of youtube videos about how great these cookers are. I am used to cooking stews etc on the Hob, which can easily take 2.5-3 hours of cooking time. I liked the idea of being able to cook in one pot, save on washing up etc. I have only owned this for a fortnight, but am actually enjoying using it. The picture I shared is of a simple beef stew that took literally 30 mins to cook. The stew thickened even more the longer it was left, though I did enjoy some as soon as it was ready. The device is very simple to use, I didn't bother with the instructions as there are so many videos/ channels out there with 1000s of ideas/recipes. Start simple and get good results. I haven't tried all features at the time of writing, but am delighted with the results of the meals i've made so far. The food is perfectly cooked and the time saved means I can cook a large meal in quick time, literally dumping things in . switching on and getting on with my day. The "keep warm" feature means you can go out and return home to a nice hot meal, rather than having to cook in an evening. The cooking pot and lid are both dishwasher friendly, though i simple rinse the lid and rubber seal after use. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to cut down on dishes, save a lot of cooking time, and and make 4 (greedy) or 6 regular portions of food. Please take my advice and check youtube for some great and simple recipes. I have suddenly found myself buying more vegetables and ingredients, rather than ready meals to microwave. One tip: the Cooker comes with a rubber seal ( a clear one ALREADY fitted). I was confused how to fit the red one which comes in the box. This is infact a SPARE so can be safely placed in a drawer for future use. It seems this red rubber seal puzzled many people, as the instructions did not mention one was already fitted!

Great value, well build and easy to operate
Fab! Replaced a broken ninja foodi - temp probe error seems connected with the ribbon cable in the hinge going to the sensor in the lid. This has a lid that comes off so no issues with a smart lid. Helpful LED display, loads of functions (except air fryer but I have another cheaper one) excellent pressure cooker, removable stainless steel bowl, makes good yoghurt too without worrying about the time needed. Spare pressure cooker seal included (or to use for strongly flavoured foods instead). Great price so thoroughly recommend.

I was sceptical
As in title. I was sceptical on getting an Instant Pot, but I’m disabled (not “wheelchair” disabled, but I still struggle with everyday tasks), and I found that cooking doesn’t really make me happy anymore, just tired. I also have a toddler so I could really use some additional help. And this was a great purchase. Best red lentils soup I’ve ever made and it was done in 15 minutes. I was so hungry that I didn’t wait for natural pressure release, but I was aware of what I’m doing, so I decided to safely do a quick release. And I immediately tried the soup.Nothing burned, everything cooked to perfection, and very tasty. Supposedly the foods prepared in the instant pot have more nutritional value, because the food is cooking in such enclosed environment.Next try I decided to cook some chickpeas following a recipe for hummus, which said to cook unsoaked dry chickpeas in the instant pot for 40 minutes with a teaspoon of baking soda.Oh boy, I never expected I’d be able to make hummus literally on a whim. Before instant pot, I had to plan and think the day before whether I want hummus or not, and soak the beans. Now it’s like half of the processed was removed, simplified, and the hummus I made with those chickpeas was the smoothest hummus I’ve ever made, better than store bought.I also tried to make yogurt with my boyfriend for the first time, and it was half fail, half success. We sterilised the jars, prepped everything for the yogurt, and we decided to use just 4 jars to see if it will work. Gladly we only wasted 4 jars, because my boyfriend was new to using instant pot and he accidentally used the boil function of the yogurt programme and he killed the yeast! Hahaha. Way to learn, I guess.I used the leftover yogurt mass we had to use, filled remaining jars, and took care not to boil them again. With the instant pot set up properly, the yogurt was ready in about 8 hours, and it got more thick as it cooled down in the fridge. I consider that a success because the yogurt was totally edible, it didn’t taste like the ones you buy at shops, but it was still good and I ate it all.Overall, it was a great thing to buy. I regret I didn’t get one earlier. I guess it reduces how much you pay for bills because cooking times are so much shorter. It would be even better if it used Induction Heating technology (like my Bamboo rice cooker does), because it would use even less energy throughout cooking, but it’s still very good technology. It is quite big but I don’t mind it. I have a small kitchen and if I need extra space to chop up some veggies, and the instant pot isn’t running at the time, I just take off the lid off the instant pot, put my chopping board over the inner pot, and just chop like this.It is easy to clean but I found you should sometimes cook some water with vinegar in the instant pot so that the odours from the sealing ring are gone, because I found that regular soaking and washing just doesn’t get rid of the smell, but it’s not a big issue. Just pour water and vinegar, secure the lid and cook for a few minutes. Then rinse.I really like the sauté function because it doesn’t burn food as easily as my induction panel which doesn’t have a great range of temperatures. I find that the temperature is just right even on high setting, and the food is just nicely browned and ready to be cooked further.Get this + some dedicated instant pot cookbooks, it will make your life so much easier. I’m plant based so I got Nisha Vora’s cookbook, and I also use some online recipes, but I’m also not afraid to experiment. Just remember to be sensible because, after all, it is a pressure cooker, and if you don’t use it properly you might hurt yourself or waste food. Just be sure to follow tutorials for beginners and you’re good to go.

Set and forget pressure cooker
I've always been a fan of pressure cooking and used a traditional one for years but it was always a bit fiddly getting the hob setting right so it was just hissing. So I decided to get a digital one. I did the test run following the instructions in the manual and couldn't believe how quiet it was, I was expecting at least a hiss but it's practically silent. There's also no steam so you can use it anywhere in the kitchen (I was expecting to have to use it under the cooker extractor fan). The screen is clear and tells you what it is doing and it plays a little tune to tell you its started cooking and cooking is over. Used it in anger last night and was happy to leave it do do its thing. The result was perfectly cooked chilli con carne which was declared the best I'd ever made. Its also a slow cooker and sous vide so I'm looking forward to trying out those settings.Recommended.

Chungus but great
It's bigger than I expected, but generally a really good kitchen tool replacing our rice cooker and slow cooker as well as acting as casserole. On the plus side the controls are super intuitive, the pot is really well made and the variety of programmes strong. On the minus side it does take a surprisingly long time to preheat given the stated power, and isn't particularly brilliant as a rice cooker with grains sticking to the bottom plate far to easily. Good value overall though.
