You can change the fps in 1080p/720p between 24/25/50 fps. In 4K you can only record in 24/25.

Does the Panasonic G7 have a microphone input?

Yes, there is a stereo input socket. If the optional Panasonic stereo shotgun mic is attached,the audio recording may be adjusted via the video menu to adjust how the mic records the sound. I don`t know if the same control would work with 3rd party mics
