I love this IXL math workbook. I started homeschooling my son and decided to try workbooks to do so. I researched what a first grader needs to learn in math and this workbook covers it all. It teaches addition and subtraction 1-10 then 1-20, place value, money, telling time to the hour and half hour in both analog and digital, bar graphs, picturegraphs, tallies, flat and 3D shapes and more. We have finished the whole first grade math workbook and have now purchased the 2nd grade one. I am confident that my child has successfully covered what he would've learned in public school, maybe even more. Absolutely love it!

The books are better for my homeschoolers they prefer physical touch of their work and something they can claim! I have my 6 & 7 year old on the same level because they pretty much been learning the same since we started homeschooling. I plan to stretch out lessons if one doesn’t understands something (but only for that particular kid). Our goal is Mastery. So far learning is great. The lessons are very easy to teach to them & I know I can add in a video lesson from the online source for extra help. 211 pages of work. Answer sheets in the back make up the rest of the book. & a list of recommendations for other ixl brands your family can use. Which is pretty cool too!

I really like this workbook and I would definitely be interested in the other grades as well progress through school. The pictures are colorful and cute without being distracting, the content builds progressively and offers simple and understandable explanations along the way. There's lots of variety but also enough practice before moving on.

It's right on target for the grade level, easy to Teach easy to understand for my granddaughter I'm happy with it

I can’t advocate for purchasing these educational books enough. The large improvement in the previous months since we started doing one page extra per night is very much paying off. If your child needs a little extra help, buy the series of math, reading, and writing for their age level.

Excellent workbook! Best I've found so far.

My students loved these books! The colors are great. Cute visuals. Activities and word problems were great. Lessons are incremental and build upon skills. Space on each page to fill out and do the math. The pacing is fast, but so nice to not have alot of repeating "busy" work. If you need more review, you can visit their online site and enter the code referenced on each page, which we never did, so I don't know if it costs anything to use this service. Students felt accomplished and excelled quickly through this and book 2, and are enjoying book 3 now.
