I bought an antique light fixture for $20 that just needed a little love. After cleaning it up, I wanted to update the wiring too to ensure it was safe. This product made that so simple and idiot proof! I get compliments on the old fixture all the time. I don’t tell people how easy this project was when I say I restored it myself!

I get these once or twice a year when I'm re-wiring an antique light. So far, they have worked great. Excellent fit and no problems working. I do wish they were a little cheaper, I'd keep several on hand instead of buying them when I need them.

Was looking to replace my florescent light with a brighter LED fixture. It worked out very well. I attached it to the cover plate I bought from the local warehouse store. Wired to the existing box. Taped the wire nuts and screwed the place into the box. I screwed in my new 3 panel LED light (as seen on TV) and now I have a bright garage where I can better see everything.

I had several outdoor wall fixtures that had failed hard wired LED modules. I disassembled the fixtures, removed the old LEDs and drivers replacing them with this lamp holder. Now I can use a regular bulb. You will need to cut or drill a hole approx. 1-3/8" diameter

This is a ceramic socket instead of plastic. The nice thing about ceramic is that it can take more heat but this was not needed for my project. The portion around the threaded socket unscrews allowing you to make a hole in your project slightly larger than the actual socket, then install socket with gasket, finally rescrewing the socket lock into place to secure the socket in place.PROS:- Socket can take heat from typical old-style incandescent bulb- The trim piece around the socket removes and serves as the lock when reinstalled- Includes gasket to install just above locking ring to serve as slight insulation and help keep snug- The wire leads were about 6 inches long allowing for easy connectionsSUGGESTIONS:- Be careful not to drop the locking nut made of ceramic or I'm sure it will surely break if it hits a hard surface

I found these to be perfect for surface-mounted wall lights when mounted on a round plate. This allows a low-proile bulb to be used and are weather resistant. One pro tip for outdoor sockets, spray a bit of WD40 to keep the corrosion free as salt air wreaks havoc on electrical things.

These worked for what I needed them for but one was missing the top. Only three had top pieces.
