Pro: It fits, it works, and there are few options for those of us with an old Toshiba Satellite.Con: It seems to only give me 2.5 hours while working (not resting) but that's enough for me. The original battery lasted much much longer until it didn't, but this is fine. I just worry about how long the battery will last over time because I just don't know.I have maxed out the RAM and replaced the drives and this thing still runs well. However, the battery had been dead for a long time and it was annoying. Paying about twenty four bucks was a perfect solution for me.

Easy installation. Would recommend charging it before using it. Also for long term wait for battery to get to 10% and charge it to 100%. Dont turn off computer at 100% you can turn it off at 80/90%. For better battery health.

My old battery was down to about 20 minutes of life expectancy, just not acceptable. I chose this one, not the cheapest, because the instructions and reviews both gave me a sense of security. I followed the procedure for charging the battery to 95% and letting it run down to 5% several times to "train" the battery. Now I have about 4 hours of life expectancy, which is what I had hoped for. I am a satisfied customer.

So I got this as a backup for my original battery for my S55-B5258 which shows to have lost 20% of top charge which gave me about 2 hours run time from the original, brand new, time of just under 3 hours. This replacement does reach the full 2800ma, in reporting, but the run time is exactly the same as the original depreciated battery. I ran it through a complete charge, while powered down, and discharge, sitting idle, and the run time is exactly the same as the ailing original. This leads me to believe this is not really a 2800 but perhaps 2200 coded to read like 2800. Seems a real 2800 doesn't exist anymore for the PA5195U-BR1 series batteries.Additionally this battery never tops off. It gets right at the top edge of full charge then cycles on and off. The original battery, while shut down, would fully charge and stay that way while plugged in. The charge light would indicate fully charged and stay that way. This replacement does the same as powered on, cycles on and off. This leads me to believe it's not going to last if it's constantly being powered up and down on the top end even while powered down. Only time will tell. At the very least I expected this to fully charge and hold but sadly does not.
