I wanted to wait until I was a couple weeks out postpartum before I did a review on this because I know stretch marks can creep up after things shrink down or you lose weight! However, two weeks out and five pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight, and I am still stretch mark free.I began using this oil, at least once a day on my stomach, breasts, and hips, around 18 weeks of pregnancy, when I started gaining some weight, and just finished the bottle a few days ago. I continued using Jergen's Firming lotion too, as I normally do, on the rest of my body; however, it often made its way onto my stomach, breasts, and hips too. Mama's Gold is indeed a oily, and you either want it to soak in (If you have the time.) or put on an old shirt or camisole after application. If has almost a Fruity Pebbles or Fruit Loops smells, so if you are sensitive to sweet or strong smells, this may not be for you.I am 5'10", 148 pounds normally, and I ended at 171 pounds. I was active with daily hiking, weight training, or yoga throughout my pregnancy, and I drank at least 3 liters of water throughout the day. I was also taking a prenatal, fish oil, Co-Q 10 in conjunction with blood pressure medication (to help stave off preeclampsia, which still came around at 36 weeks), and Natural Calm. I have very fair, easy to burn, dry skin and had stretch marks on my butt, hips, and breasts after puberty, that finally faded, in my late teens, into silvery-white lines. My mother has more olive, oily skin, which tans beautifully, but had large, purple, long stretch marks, EVERYWHERE, despite only gaining 30 pounds max with each pregnancy.Due to my mother's stretch mark history, and my puberty stretch marks, I was desperate to try and prevent them. I share all of this with you, so you have a clear picture of all the variables going in because everyone is different, and clearly there are other factors that could have contributed to my great results. Either way, I am incredibly pleased with my stretch mark free midriff and my skin, which seems to have retained most of its elasticity. Therefore, I highly recommend this product, and I hope you end up with the same results!UPDATE:I am five weeks postpartum with baby two and no stretch marks again. I gained less this time because my son was early; however, bigger than some full term babies. I continued to use it when I got home and am happy with the results.

I purchased this oil after trying numerous creams and oils to prevent stretch marks. 3 months postpartum and I can honestly say I did not get one stretch mark due to this oil. Yes, it is a bit oily when you first apply it, so you have to be careful with your clothing but a little goes a long way. I began using this oil when I was three months pregnant and applied it everyday after my showers. Three months postpartum and I still have a quarter of the bottle left hence why I say a little goes a long way. I saw reviews in regards to the odor of this product but to me the odor is not bad. I would definitely recommend this oil for mommas to be!

I ordered this at the beginning of my pregnancy and used it pretty much daily throughout. While I don't have any stretch marks, I don't really think this has to do anything with the lotion --- most research shows that stretch marks are hereditary and skin-deep treatments have no impact. However, it does feel nice once the belly starts getting itchy and it was a nice post-shower routine where I'd talk to the baby and lotion up. At first I thought the smell was a bit strong, but I grew to like it.In terms of the negatives, the bottle itself was not airtight and so some of the lotion leaked during transit and throughout its use and collected on and around the bottle as gross greasiness. Not great! Second, I would have been happy with half of the amount. Even using throughout the pregnancy, I still only went through maybe a third or half of the bottle? Not sure what to do with the rest of it! Wish it was available in a smaller size.

I've been using this product during my pregnancy and bought this in the hopes that I would not gain more stretch marks throughout my pregnancy. While I did not use this product every single day, I ended up using this product probably every other day to maybe three times a week. I still developed stretch marks on my sides and my tummy. This product is quite heavy and leaves your skin oily for quite some time, but I have not noticed any staining on my clothes. I do have to wash my hands after I apply the product because it leaves my hands quite slippery.The smell or scent, whichever you prefer, is okay but not my favorite. I feel that if I used this product every day, I may have seen results more in line with my expectations, but who knows.

This product is amazing! I am unfortunately prone to stretch marks genetically, so wanted to find a product that could help prevent them at the onset of pregnancy. My friend recommended this product to me and I have been using this religiously since the day I found out I was pregnant. So far, no signs of any new stretch marks. The product goes on smooth and consistent and doesn't leave an oily residue like many oily products can do. I also like the scent, though I could see how some could be sensistive to it, especially in the first trimester.

I’m just going to be honest and say - collagen is where stretch marks occur. Not your top dermal layer. Topical cream won’t work alone. Take a collagen supplement in addition to this. That said, I used this with my last pregnancy and m current pregnancy. It resolves that itchy feeling that occurs when skin on you belly is getting stretched. It smells wonderful, and reduces the appearance of existing marks.

I originally ordered this from the company’s website, then ordered this as a replacement due to free shipping on Amazon. As soon as I opened the bottle I noticed the smell was different from the last bottle I purchased from the company, and I had some leftover to compare to. This smell and consistency (this was more watery) were different from the legitimate product. This product was tampered with.
