Work very well with Home Assistant.
Work very well with my Home Assistant system to monitor temperature and humidity in freezers, refrigerators and to monitor the temperature in the room with my fireplace (to activate my furnace fan for additional circulation). Battery life is very good with the standard battery.

Great for Home Assistant
I got these because Aqara has a good reputation for working seamlessly with generic Zigbee hubs and Home Assistant. I don't use the Aqara hub or app at all.Pros:- They look quite good attached to a wall. (Vastly better than the big orange plate you get with the Sonoff ones.)- They're reliable. I almost never get disconnections. It can take a while for them to come back after a power outage shuts down the hub, but they always come back.- They're fast. Temperature changes get posted very quickly when they happen. Within a few seconds, usually.- They're efficient. If the temperature is stable, they'll only ping in once an hour or so.Cons:- None to speak ofI've had one installed in my bedroom for six months and it's reporting about 60% battery remaining. I'd like to see that closer to 75%, but I also don't know how accurate it is.

Didn't quite do what I hoped for
I bought this device along with the hub with the hope of integrating my Alexa thermostats with a sensor. My goal was to address the issue of one of my kids' rooms being excessively cold, and I wanted the flexibility to adjust the sensor to a different room than where the thermostat was originally placed.Having used Nest devices in the past, which offered a convenient sensor to adjust room temperatures, my expectations were high. Unfortunately, this product falls short. Instead of providing the ability to control the temperature in specific rooms, it merely notifies me of the temperature in the designated space. The user experience (UX) was clunky, and I found myself fussing with the setup, including the addition of the Alexa skill. In hindsight, I regret not sticking with Nest Thermostats entirely, as they had previously met my needs more effectively. Now, I find myself navigating a rabbit hole in search of a solution to the initial problem. Overall, not the seamless experience I was hoping for.

Works well
I have what I would call a non-standard setup. I don't want anything to do with any type of proprietary hub for a couple reasons. One is I don't want to get in bed with any company for an extended amount of time if I can help it. I want to be able to buy what I want and when I want without worrying my existing hub will support another product from another manufacture. Another is I am inherently nervous about products on my home network that I don't fully control. Call me old fashion but that's how I am (note: I am not an extremists, just would rather be pulling all the strings with the stuff I buy). With all that in mind, when I started my home automation journey I did a lot of search and first deployed OpenHab and then migrated to Home assistant. These compact little sensors work well with both platforms mainly because of the integration of zigbee2mqtt within both the OpenHab and HA environments. My use case at this time is for bathroom humidity. My son likes to take long hot showers (as do I!) and no matter what I say, he will not turn on the fan. Frustrated by his lack of compliance and because I was just starting my automation journey, I decided to win the battle with technology! Now with this little guy installed in the bathroom and when the humidity reaches a certain level, the fan automatically turns on! No fuss, no muss, and no more telling my son to turn on the fan! The best part about it is there is nothing he can do about it. Ha! Daddy wins the day!All in all this product has served me well and after 6 months of use the battery percentage is still registering in the high 90's. Worth the buy if you either own their proprietary hub or are willing to put in a little bit of work to make it work for your solution.

Need automation? Get this!
I love how easy and tiny they are! Battery still hasn’t died on me. Always stays connected with hub and HomeKit! I have one on the ceiling in each room. This is my best friend when it comes to bathroom. Once the humidity hits this % then it automate the switch to turn on bathroom fan! When it drops below % then it turns off the bathroom fan!I found this to show more accurate temperature and humidity than HomePod does. Plus HomePod doesn’t work with automation. This one does! HomePod is very slow with updating while this is rapid and consistent!
