Works with Smartthings hub
Really work well. Had other brand and it was "patchy"... this one just does what it says! Nice and small.Connected with Smartthings hub directly, but it does take some fiddling! The smartthings community has loads of tips and support... if you go down the route of getting a different driver, e.g. Yakov edge driver, make sure you download it before trying to connect... also it takes a few minutes....Worth it, very quick response when doors opened (or closed).

Super easy & responsive
This door & window sensor works amazingly well with Home Assistant.I paird this up to my Pi running home assistant via a ZigBee conbee stick & it's yet to let me done. It's a really small sensor so perfect for hiding away on the side of a window or door frame. The double sticky tap on the back makes super quick the install & pairing up to your ZigBee hub is a breeze, it was found instantly on mine. It provides accurate results when opening and closing the door allowing for my automations to run flawlessly.Great value for money!

Instant feedback from your hub, really useful and carefully designed
I have been using the Aqara Door and Window Sensor Kit for a few months now and I have to say, I am extremely impressed with its performance. This kit includes two door/window sensors that can be placed on any door or window in your home, and it works with the Aqara app to provide real-time notifications when a door or window is opened or closed. The installation process was very easy, the sensors come with double-sided adhesive tape which I used to stick them to the door or window frame. They also come with a CR2032 battery that lasts for about two years. One of the things I appreciate the most about this kit is that it allows me to keep track of my home's security. The sensors send notifications to my phone when a door or window is opened or closed, so I can always know when someone is coming and going. I also like that I can set up automations, such as turning on the lights or activating the security camera when a door or window is opened.I also appreciate that the sensors are small and discrete, they are not intrusive and blend in well with the surroundings.Overall, I think the Aqara Door and Window Sensor Kit is an excellent investment for anyone looking to improve their home's security. It is easy to install, provides real-time notifications, and can be integrated with other smart home devices. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable door and window sensor

Great sensor for the door and works with Apple Home.
Great sensor for doors and windows. I’ve grabbed two of these so far and work perfectly for what they are intended. The speed to my phone for notifications is great. Simple and easy to install and sticks well. Great value for money.

Versatile little sensors
Have bought a few of these sensors for use with Home Assistant. I have found that they link to HA well and are pretty reliable. Have used on garage door, freezer, front door and am going to put on gate in a 3d printed waterproof case (as they are meant to be internal use). Versatile little sensors which are easy to install. So far the batteries are holding out well.

Promise to upgrade was broken.
Aqara promised that an upgrade for the firmware on this sensor would unlock its additional features. This was way back when the sensor first released, and they still advertise that to this day. They said an Aqara M3 hub would be needed in order to get the updated firmware, and access the additional settings and features, leading users to buy the M3 Hub I imagine. The M3 Hub started showing up in December of 2023, and still here we are over a year and a half later without a firmware update for the sensor. Aqara ignores any requests for details on why there's no update.Without the update, the sensor has no configuration options. It can be seen within the Aqara app, and within your preferred Smart Home Ecosystem. This means there's no tamper protection as advertised, and the button on the sensor cannot be configured, so has no function whatsoever.Battery life is good by the looks of it. I've had it over a year and haven't had to replace the battery at all.I can't really recommend these to most people sadly. I feel like Aqara has miss lead consumers with this promise to add the additional functions, but hasn't followed through.
