A nice, firm Japanese style futon mattress. This mattress has been a back saver for me as it was purchased to use in lieu of a sagging, beat up only two year old spring mattress at the fire house I work at. I put this mattress on a peg board that is supported by several slats and it works great. Please note, it is firm, which I prefer. I was going to possibly buy a much more expensive made in Japan futon mattress but this product is of great quality and significantly less expensive. The mattress is only three to four or so inches thick and is still new to me, but I think it will be a great product for quite some time. This mattress should be used on the floor or a solid surface for the best results. Happy sleeping!

My partner likes it firm, I like it soft and gooshy and this was the perfect solution for our camping trip needs! We put it on top of our air mattress and the combination was so good I thought about sleeping on it all the time, not just on camping trips. Did a test run the day before our trip of just sleeping on the floor with it and I slept great! Thick enough that my pointy hips didn't hurt when laying on my side. Doesn't fold up super easily but I wasn't bothered by that.

the mattress looks well made, it’s as thick as advertised, it didn’t take long for it to pop up, though it does need some shaking for it to be fully even.slept on just this mattress on the hard wood floor for two nights, if you sleep on your back, this has the perfect firmness and support, if you’re a side sleeper like me, it’s does have good enough cushion for your hip, depending on how much your hip bone sticks out.for me, I have hip pain on one side of my hip and not the other side, I can sleep on this mattress on my the good side with no problem, it dips enough to contour but is firm and supportive enough so you won’t feel the floor, but my bad side does need a bit more softness and height than this to be fully comfortable.again that’s just for personal reasons, otherwise the mattress would be a lightweight option for floor sleeping, it’s also foldable with its strip sewing design, and very easy to put on fitted sheet.a solution I’ve devised to achieve more cushion and comfort for myself is to buy another reasonably priced floor mattress with a similar design and thickness, if not just slightly softer, to layer on top, that’ll be a perfect floor sleeping setup that still maintains the convenience of changing sheets and moving.in the end, I think this is a good solid mattress for floor sleeping for back & side sleepers if you have no hip problems.

We like this mattress, its compact and good if you want to sleep on floor. We use it for movie nights.

Surprisingly very supportive for such a thin mattress. I slept on the floor for a week while waiting for a moving truck. Now that my real mattress is here, I kind of preferred this one more on the floor... Well made and quality material.

This floor mat is soooo comfy!!! I bought it to sleep on the floor next to my new pup’s kennel. I woke up not feeling stiff or sore. It was so comfortable that I slept almost two months on the floor without realizing how much time had passed!

I got this futon yesterday. All the dimensions are off. It is 78 1/2 x 38 x 2 3/4 inches not 80 x 39 x 3 1/2 inches. I can see a 1/2 inch on each side and 1/4 inch on the thickness but come on! Also the stitching on the side had unraveled.The worst thing about this whole ordeal is trying to talk to a physical person at Amazon. According to Amazon's return policy, Amazon want you to put the item back in the shipping box it came in and take it to a UPS store. That is fine if this was anything but a futon mattress that was machine compresses and packaged to fit in the smallest box possible. I don't know about you but I am not capable of getting the mattress back in its 40 x 9 1/4 x 7 1/2 inch box it came in. After I gave up and I am just going to go to the UPS store and ask them for help. I would like to thank Amazon for making this harder than it needs to be and making impossible to talk to a breathing person!!!
