I put this pump into a small frog pond that had muddy water, and it was clear in a week. The solar panel is powerful for such a small unit and runs on pretty much any amount of sun.

The media could not be loaded. Edit: Battery backup does not work. As soon as the sun sets and the ambient light is too low the pump stops working.Works well and was easy to set up. Comes with a ground stake or you can attach it to a fence (assuming you don’t have a block wall since the screws look rather small). I am going to hazard a guess that you would want to upgrade the screws. Right now I have it on a pipe that I happened to have that fits where the stake would insert. I bought the one with the battery backup. At the moment the fountain does not last long once the sun has set. It is dusk and the pump just turned off. I need to get a longer pipe so that I can angle the panel to capture more sun. At the moment it gets morning and midday direct sun, but is also in a party shady part of the yard. It pretty much depends on gravity to stay together. So don’t tip it upside down or it will crash into the top of your foot. That said, the panel survived the fall and still works perfectlyUnsure about the ability to charge the extra battery. Seems like it requires strong sunlight to both run and charge the battery beyond being able to run when clouds block the sun for a bit.Two of the disks have the same star pattern which means you have one less option than advertisedDoes not come with a diverter to adjust the flowThe head that makes the water form a dome is meh. Forms a very small dome that is underwhelming and not worth using.The panel is not a discrete size, which could be a negative for some. I don’t mind. I will be placing it behind a rose bush that will mostly camouflage it without shading it.

It does not come with a battery backup despite being advertised as such. The instructions say that:'This product is directly solar powered and can only spray water continuously when the sunlight is strong enough. On cloudy days or when the sun is weak, the device will intermittently working or stop working.'If it weren't for the false advertising, I would give this thing a 5. It works perfectly for my purposes. I bored a hole through a large decorative rock and the pump pushes water through it allowing it to trickle down.

The quality for the price is actually good, however there are issues with this pump. You definitely don’t want to use this for ducks like we did. It is consistently clogging or getting full of trash too fast! It does actually spray well and put off a great flow for the pond. It sprays all night so the battery storage on the sunlight catcher is great! It is small so I would definitely say more compatible for a small fish pond or something very small with no constant dirt or grime problems.

Works well. Pumps after sun down for a few hours.

Took me a while experimenting with all the tubes and spray heads to figure out the best for my small “stock tank” pond. The little “ball of water” works best in my small pond. The other spray heads produce too much turbulence in the water for my plants. I wish the thing came with more riser tubes. I would like to position the filter box deeper in pond. The pump only works when the sun is shining. So far, the solar panel has not charged up the built in battery, so I cannot determine is the battery is actually working.

Great little powered pump/filter! Using it in a little pond that has some minnows and a tadpole. Eventually we will add 1 or 2 koi. Currently it is working great!
