Cuisinart Soho 1 Liter Double Wall Electric Kettle, Black

Love it! Bought this to replace an electric kettle with plastic walls, due to concerns about toxic chemicals leaching. I love that there is no water/plastic content in this kettle! As others have noted, the color is not a black-black. It's more a slightly brown dark grey. I actually think it's lovely, and it fits well in my kitchen with a lot of black and black/stainless appliances. Not a perfect match, but doesn't clash.The water heats up quickly, and the auto-shut off gives me peace of mind! All in all, I'm so pleased!A final note - I really like the 1 L size. A LOT of kettles are 1.7 Liters, including the one I just replaced. But it's just me, and I don't really need that capacity. This fits better in my smallish kitchen, so the smaller size is a win for me!

I’ve only used this kettle once but I love it already! This is our first electric tea kettle and I’m impressed. It heats fast enough and pours great. Easy to clean. We went with the black color but the color is more like a matte dark gray. The brand’s website says the color is ‘warm black’. I’m ok with the color, it still looks nice.

This kettle is very convenient and heats water very quickly, probably just a couple minutes if only making a large single cup of tea. It doesn't take up a huge amount of real estate on the counter, and I think it looks nice too.There are two things that I don't like about it:1) The lever in the back that opens the lid does not open it all the way. To fill it with water you still have to touch it with your hand and open it the rest of the way. That's fine when it's cold but it's not fine when it's still hot.2) On one occasion when water was heated again shortly after the unit had turned off, the automatic shut-off did not function and it stayed on for a long time until I finally turned it off manually. This is not the norm but it does make me nervous, and I don't trust the auto shut-off. We're typically not going to far though if we are heating up water so it's not a deal breaker.

We bought the Cuisinart Soho 1 Liter Double Wall Electric Kettle (Truffle) four months ago. We use it several times a day. It works well. The design is good: The water touches only stainless steel. There is no plastic or rubber. There is no black plastic on the parts one would normally touch. It heats quickly. The kettle has no chemical smell.One downside is that it boils for about 5 seconds before shutting off, putting out steam. We live at 100m elevation.If our kettle stops working, I will immediately buy it again.

Very fast to heat up water. We use it for camping to make coffee or tea in mornings or nights without needing to use fire to boil water just for that. Highly recommended.

Really liking this kettle. Easy & no frills operation makes it a pleasure to use. It heats quickly, doesn't have some weird garish design, doesn't spurt or dribble water all over the counter top, rotates easily in the base so that you can point the steam away from your cabinets while it's heating, has a seamless interior without the bulky heating elements, so it's easy to clean. Boiled water tastes clean and I find the kettle easy to fill from my pitcher brita filter, but I can see how the limited opening range on the lid could pose a challenge with certain water dispensers.I bought this to get back into drinking tea to satisfy my hand-to-mouth addiction. Its a lot faster and more convenient than boiling on the stove and more pleasant than the microwave.

It's perfect! Do not hesitate to purchase. It ticked of all my boxes and exceeded my expectations.

Boils water quickly. I specifically wanted a kettle that had no plastic where the water was going to boil. This kettle boils enough water for about 3 mugs in about 3 minutes. The auto off switch is just timer based and doesn't stop even if the water in the kettle is boiling, so if you're boiling less than 1 liter of water, it'll just happily boil away for awhile until the timer goes off. Other than that, it's been boiling water daily for the past 2 weeks without any issues. It's a nice muted off-white color with an exterior that stays cool. Very happy with this kettle.
