Smooth, Energizing, and Surprisingly Refreshing
I’ve been really enjoying this Guayusa tea. It has a smooth, earthy flavor — not too bitter, not too grassy — and it’s incredibly easy to drink. I usually steep it for about 5–7 minutes, and it holds up well without turning harsh or overpowering. What I love most is the energy boost. It’s more subtle than coffee — no jitters, no crash — just a steady, clean feeling of being awake and focused. It’s become part of my morning routine, especially on days when I want something warm but lighter than coffee. The 16-ounce bag is generous and packed with quality loose leaves. No dust or filler, just whole, clean leaves that smell amazing when you open the bag. I’ve tried it both hot and iced — both work great! There are some stems in there which you need to sort out, but that is a given with all of these products. This product definitely was greener in color compared to the previous one I tried (Pacha), though the tastes were similar. If you’re looking for a natural caffeine alternative that’s smooth and energizing without any weird side effects, this is worth trying. I’ll definitely be ordering more!

Great quality
Excellent quality guayusa. I started off with Runa, then Waykana, but when both of those brands became unavailable i tried this. Been ordering for just over a year and havent had a bad batch yet. Really tasty and energizing. I swap between this, yaupon, or yerba mate, so its great to have a supplier of this wonderful caffeinated holly

Davidson's quality, super economical
A pound is a lot of tea!! Trusted quality from Davidson's, by far the most economical way to get guayusa.

Not your normal tea
If you havent' read the listing thoroughly yet, let me inform you that this is not black tea or any derivative. This is made from a totally different plant, related to Holly, and only distantly related to the Tea plant. It does contain caffeine, but not as much as a "real" tea. The taste is different; it took me a couple of cups to get used to. Now I find it a pleasant diversion from my tea habit.

Replaced my much missed Runa Tea!
I was addicted to the respiratory relief and clean No Crash energy from the famous Runa tea. Someone bought them out during the c word that ends in a 19. Then they stopped production. I’m guessing that it’s because this tea has all three respiratory healing properties needed to breathe better!I brew this with hot water and sometimes I add hibiscus leaves and cardamom. Then add honey to sweeten and it’s delicious, healing, it’s clean energy without the jitters.Of course as with everything drink it in moderation.

Fav energy source so far
I haven't tried any other brands of guayusa so I have nothing to compare it to. That said, I'm a fan. I'll start off by saying the effects are similar to that of yerba mate - it's more of an uplifting buzz than the anxious caffeine jolt of coffee, but like with any caffeine source too much and it probably won't be pleasant. I actually prefer it to yerba mate in that sense. And also in the sense that, for me, yerba mate's taste isn't the best. I actually look forward to drinking this guayusa whereas the yerba mate had just become a daily ritual for energy. It's more vibrant (looking) that mate and I suppose flavor wise as well. I see others speaking of a grassy flavor and yeah, I can get that though it's not so exaggerated as grass. I would describe it as green and planty, and vegetal. Not bitter like green tea or matcha and that's what makes it smooth to take down. There is somewhat of a strange aftertaste...the first impression that is it's bad or weird but after a few cups I have already gotten used to it and it's doesn't bother me or stand out anymore. I would recommend. I may experiment with other brands so I have something to compare it to, which brings on the point that this is pretty reasonably priced for what you get.

Great product
They do a great job here. With Runa no longer making it, this is a wonderful substitute.
