Perfect cup every time
I love a good cup of tea. Some of my friends call me a tea connoisseur or a tea snob. My favorites are Loose leaf greens, blacks, and I pick my own rose hips. I will mix in different elements to make my own blends, and I also like other varieties. My biggest mistake with tea is sometimes over steeping. On occasion (for one reason or another) I don’t get back to the kettle to remove the tea leaves. So kettles with the static basket are out of the question. This smart tea kettle makes is so easy. No need to keep a separate timer, or having to drop everything to remove leaves.Set the tea type and strength and start. It drops the basket in at the right temperature and removing it at the desired time. It will even keep the tea warm up to 30 minutes. And if it does get cold before you finish just heat it up to whatever temperature you want.Set custom temperatures and steep times. Even use the delay start option to have the tea started first thing so you can wake up with a fresh cup. And if you just want hot water, it can do that too. With this kettle I can keep tea going all day long.

Good item
I've had this for about 7 weeks and used it maybe 100 times. So far no real problems. The bottom of the pot stays discolored. Another reviewer posted a picture of it and mine looks the same. It can be cleaned off, but I usually don't bother and just rinse all the parts after use. The smell from some teas, such as peppermint tea, can linger on the top ring without full cleaning, but it doesn't affect the taste. A full cleaning requires filling the pot with vinegar and water and leaving it overnight. It works just as well for loose leaf or tea bags, in my experience. The minimum water level for tea is 17 oz, which is annoying since most recommended brewing methods for tea bags or loose leaf tea are for 8 oz of water. Also at 17 oz loose leaf tea will inflate until it is probably over the water line since the basket doesn't go all the way down. That said I haven't noticed any problems with that. I usually do 20 oz of water at a time, which isn't far above the minimum water line, and it seems to work fine. The keep warm function only goes for 30 minutes at 140 degrees max. If you start at a higher temp it will keep it at 140.One thing that maybe isn't obvious is that the temperature is maintained during the infusion process, at least somewhat. I know because it will start boiling again sometimes while infusing. So using this machine is a slightly different infusion process than a pour-over. I don't know if it makes any difference in the end.I payed a total of 125 for this machine and a 4-year protection plan. I think this is a knock-off of a machine that costs 2 or 3 times as much, but I don't see how that other machine is worth so much more. This seems to be well built and so far has worked just fine.

Makes a great cup of tea
This product did what it advertised and made a great cup of tea from tea leaves. It is simple to use and makes it quick. I haven't tried the timer option since I haven't returned to work. I've used it to make plain hot water, and it's done well there, too. However, it only got four stars because the plastic lid was not well made. The strainer on the lid kept coming off, and as I tried to put it back on, it broke after only a few days of use. You don't need it to make the tea, but I'm still unhappy that it broke soon after purchasing it.

Great Customer Service
First, this tea pot is a great alternative to more expensive products that have the same functionality. We all know the one I’m talking about. While it doesn’t have the same luxury feel it has the bells and whistles to match and worked pretty reliably for me for about 6 months of regular use. Around the 6 month mark the magnet in the basket track (the long metal part the basket attaches to in the teapot) seemed to have stopped working and the basket ended up sitting about half way down at best. And would often get stuck at the bottom which defeats the purpose of this teapot. I contacted customer service and after some troubleshooting they had me send a video showing the problem. A quick review on their end and they confirmed my purchase details and sent me a replacement. I hate when a product has issues but nothing makes me happier than effective and timely customer service and they absolutely have that. So this product and company have my vote of confidence and I recommend buying it if you are considering upgrading your tea experience.

Multiple problems with infuser basket
I have tried two of these tea makers. I tried everything in their booklet, everything that was suggested to get the basket to go down. Nothing worked. Because the basket refuses to go down and make tea, the unit keeps boiling the water until I manually shut it off. No tea. I have owned two of the more expensive brands. Bur lightly bumping the glass breaks it and Breville won’t replace just the glass unit. As much as I hate to spend the money, I will be going back to the Breville and returned the Razonni.
