Works well
Good quality saw for glass. Supposed to cut rock and coral, also. Mostly plastic because of the water irrigation. Works well.

Better than expected
I was a bit skeptical when I unpacked it. It actually works much better than I thought. The only change I would make is the water flow should be adjustable. If it becomes a major issue for me I will just go to a pet store for a fish tank valve

Ideal how rock slicing
I have this as a gift and the recipient has had a wonderful experience cutting rocks and fossils.

Poorly designed and poor materials. Lasts maybe six months
We bought FOUR of these on the recommendation of a friend who rarely used theirs. One by one parts broke over the course of months of use. This one lasted 8 months of intermittent use. We patched and patched till its failures were overwhelming. Now we have switched to gryphon. Going to look at designing a better one since we put so many hours into fixing them.

Quite easy to set up and use
In general this saw is superior to one previously owned. AsI only use it to cut stained glass, I cannot rate it on sheerness or thickness. The blade can dislodge from the wheels fairly easily, but once you have learned how to put it back on wheels that is only takes a minute. This probably saves the blade from breaking.

For serious Lapidary work, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME
My hopes were real high about this unit, but after getting it and unboxing it, I realized the quality was not what I would have expected. I thought I would give it a chance. So went through the assembly process and for the blade aligned and tracking correctly. Then put the very tiny water tray up and messed with the water adjustment. Then went to cut a few thin slices of agate, worked okay, chalked it up to needing more time on the machine. As expected, it went though obsidian much easier. The tiny water tank ran out way too much, that water tank needs to be about three times that size or I need to develop an automatic foot controlled watering system this this unit. The feel of this unit never felt right, too light, to east to tip, just not that good, the plastic everwhere, then every time the water runs out, more diamond chips are burned off the blade. The final time, that was enough. I cannot constantly be checking the water level when I am trying to make precise cuts. Now other thoughts, the plastic wheels inside, what a joke, flimsy. To put a new blade on takes three hands then hope and pray the alignment and tracking was right. after 5 times of trying to get it right, I had enough. My very large metal band saw is not this difficult, and I thought that was a pain until this little creature came into my life. It is not worth what I paid for it and strongly considering returning it. I do not even want to call customer service. I have never had any band saw give me problems like this little thing does. I am back on the market for a good lapidary bandsaw. I was truly hoping that this unit from Inland was going to work. But for my heavy usage, it just is not up to the task. I will give it one more chance before I start the return process, (when it is not 110° in my working area) If it works out, I will change this review, if it does not, it will be left as is.

Time and material saver
Get this if you want to avoid spending hours nibbling away and grinding on rounded cuts. For hobbyists who cut several pieces a day, but not all day, all week long.

Things not lining up right.
I cant get all 4 of the plate screws in as u can see its not even lined up. Also the blade guide is just making the blade lock up runs freely without in there but when I put it in it starts wanting to lock up. Other then that seems like a good saw but will probably end up returning and going with a different brand for now.
