Don't buy this it overheats and could be potentially dangerous
I had bought my daughter an electric scooter from Amazon in like April for her birthday. I knew I should of got a protection on it but stupid me I wasn't thinking I just wanted her scooter to get here in time. The scooter works great there's no malfunctioning with the scooter itself but some how the charger just stopped working. I went back on Amazon to click on the scooter I bought to contact the seller and the scooter I purchased is no longer listed.. to me that's shady why only 3 months later it's no longer listed and the seller isn't found on any of the other electric scooters. Mind you my husband rides the scooter to stores if we need drinks or anything like that but places like Wawa which isn't close by. So we need the scooter and I don't have enough money to buy another one to replace it. So I went looking for the same charger everywhere. I could not find the same charger that came with the scooter. The output I needed was 42v 1.5A well there was none like that so I settled for 42v 2A thinking it isn't too far off. And there's like a certain connection piece that only fits for this type of scooter so I had to try to find a match that will fit that type of charger port. This was the closest I could get on the budget I had. So we get it today and my daughter is so excited to have her scooter charged. The connection piece fits and is basically the same as her original charger. Of course this new one comes with multiple other charging connections for other things I don't need but it's not too much of a bother. This charger started charging her scooter and charging it pretty quickly. I was so happy that we finally found a charger and its a super fast charger. I went to unplug it to put it away and the box the connects the cord to the outlet and the charging port was super hot. Like burning your hand hot. I got so scared because I always thought when things get hot they blow up. So I put it back in the box. For right now I'm just going to have to keep touching and checking on it when she is charging her scooter and if it starts to get hot again unplug let it cool down and then plug it back in. But I don't understand why the box connector is getting so hot. We literally just got it delivered our first time opening and actually using it and this happens. So I'm scared this thing is going to blow up if nobody checks to see if it not or not. I have very young children and animals so that would be so dangerous if it like blew up. I don't have a car to file for return and drop it off to go back to Amazon so I guess I'm stuck with it for now until I find a better one. But I'm the description pictures it says how it has all this stuff to prevent this from happening and it shouldn't be over heating... Idk what to do now on one hand I feel like I wasted my money because now I feel like this product is dangerous and on the other hand we needed a charger for the scooter so we are able to go to closer by places to get things that we forgot grocery shopping. Or if we're ordering at that close place my husband can ride the scooter to Instead of paying for shipping food. Well that's why I gave it 3 stars so if anyone else have this problem or knows what I should do write a review I'll keep checking back on this order reviews
