great protection
what I like most about this style of palm rest protector is that it is in two pieces and will work with hardshell cases! it comes at separate pieces, one for the left side of the palm, rest, and one for the right side.typical palm rest protectors come in one piece where there are skinny portions connecting both the left and right palm areas by bridging above and below the trackpad.the UPPERCASE laptop palm protectors are easy to apply. simply peel part of the backing, align where they indicate on the instructions, and smooth to complete. the adhesive is strong but easily repositioned if needed. the material is thick and not some skimpy sticker material that would easily crease.the space grey color isn’t exact but it certainly is acceptable. I think it is not easy to match colors with a material that is different than the metal surface of the laptop. I’ve used other protectors of other colors for MacBook Pros in the past and no color is spot on. but do not let this deter you from getting this product.I wear a watch or bracelet and this assures me that I won’t scratch up the surface of the palm rest when using the laptop.this palm rest protect gets a 4.5 rating from me, rounded up to a 5. it gets high points for durability, good fit with options for use with and without a hardshell case, and adhesion.

Perfect great quality
They are for larger keyboard sides but they are easy to cut and make fit. They are very adhesive making it easy to stick and stay on. The texture is nice smooth and thick great quality. Easy to clean and protect my pad. Worth the money just wish it came in another color.

Keeps scratches at bay
Perfect to protect my wrist rest on my MacBook Pro. Color matches very well and they feel durable. Keeps my watch band from scratching the wrist rest.

Second set and will keep purchasing for new laptops in the future
I originally installed these on my 2019 MacBook Pro. And they held up great providing total protection from my Apple Watch third party band buckle that likes to catch and scratch everything. Product itself never scratched, can be removed when it's time to sell or trade in, and is actually not difficult to apply if you take your time and follow the *online* instructions. So I bought a second set for my new MacBook Pro M2. Not a single bubble during application. The key is to start applying it in one corner. Then continue applying along the edge aligning with the track pad, keeping the remainder of the product in the air. (Try not to move your fingers holding the product adhesive side around, it will pick up natural finger oils and you will lose adhesion.) If the alignment is good, go back to the initial corner and apply with a slow sweeping motion until it's fully down on the opposite corner. If it's not good at the initial edge application, peel it back immediately and try the edge first again. Don't install the whole thing crooked and try to pull it off. At that point the install is likely a fail. Otherwise, some people comment the product doesn't match perfectly. While true, I fail to see as a big deal. If anything, I like that it stands out just a touch as I can easily see the product is there, doing its job. And it does it well.

Looks and feels nice, color off a bit
Easy to put on and you can even immediately peel them back to place them a little better when initially putting them on. They feel nice, fit perfectly, and keep the fingerprints off. But the color is not quite right. I also got some for a midnight Air and the color was near perfect. This is the space black Pro and I suppose it’s close enough for me.

Great value
Love how much this protects my computer and protected my last one! I removed the stickers before turning it in after having them on for five years. Looks brand new aesthetically.

Product is as advertised with a couple of caveats
The container must be torn open to get the QR code or URL for the complete instructions. This is printed with an ink color that would fail accessibility standards where I work because of the low contrast (light colored ink on light background). The instructions were easy enough to follow, but for accurate registration, I added an additional step. Before peeling off the back, I taped the pads at the top where the speakers are on my M1 Macbook. This way, after peeling off the back, it was possible to accurately place the item on the surface. With the instructions given, it's likely to accidentally miss by a small amount, at which time it would need to be peeled back off and stuck on again. The kit comes with two cleaning pads. I thought both would be alcohol pads, but no. One is an alcohol pad. The other is a dry pad. I note that the online instructions say "Use the enclosed alcohol wipe to thoroughly clean the palm rest area and let dry." It does NOT say to dry it with the other wipe. The problem with this is that you can't do first one pad and spend some time inspecting it to make sure you did a good job before starting the other one because at that point the alcohol evaporated. Fortunately, I had some alcohol handy and used it for the other side. After completing the job, I noticed that the packages holding the wipes say "1 WET CLEANING WIPE" and "2 DRY CLEANING WIPE". At first I thought the alcohol had evaporated from the second one. The numbers apparently are intended as step 1 and step 2. I ready them as pad 1 and pad 2. Bottom line, the instructions could be improved. The channels for removing air described in the description are created by micro ridges in the backing sheet. It forms a sort of 1 mm grid across the surface. This likely produces a barely perceptible groove grid in the adhesive layer of the pad. That's where air can escape. Using my additional step, those grooves are not needed (but don't hinder) because I carefully affixed the pads starting from where it was taped, continuing gradually until the edge.My main reason for getting this product is that my Macbook is just starting to show some aluminum pitting (google it if you are not familiar with the issue). The tiny pits only on the sharp edge of the laptop were starting to make using the laptop uncomfortable. These pads have fixed that.I'm including three photos. The first one shows a closeup of the backing sheet with the ridges that help to move air bubbles. The second shows the aluminum pitting on my laptop with the pad covering the top, so those tiny pits no longer get in my way. The third image shows the gap between the left side of the pad and the edge of the trackpad area. I include this picture, because this feature is in the instructions but not the produce description. The pads are slightly smaller than the area they cover on purpose. This is to accommodate a hard shell. The hard shell has a lip that barely covers the top, so to install these pads with a laptop that uses a hard shell, you align it away from the edge, with the crack next to the trackpad, and the edge at the keyboard. Without a hard shell, it is aligned with the edge of the laptop, as shown here.
