ACTUALLY UNLOCKED AND BETTER THAN ADVERTISED
okay first point this phone is actually unlocked, CAT phones were originally tmobile exclusive phones so it has the logo flash during the launch process and has all the carrier apps but it is unlocked and will be accepted at any carrier i confirmed this deeper in my settings. second point this is running android 11 not android 11 go, so its basically an android smartphone before we went insane with flagship models inside a nostalgic phone that feels healthier to keep around. coming from an iphone XR, the screen/keyboard width + overall thickness of the phone feels like an even tradeoff, about double the thickness and maybe a cm ir so more narrow. and bc capitalism has made us conveniently forget, im going to point out that a 2 RAM phone is the same specs as the iphone 8. which worked PERFECTLY FINE before we updated our phones and let apple gaslight us into thinking we needed 8 RAM and AI hardbaked into the software. is it instantaneous loading? no, but the extra 1-3 seconds gives me a moment to think about wtf im even doing, i dont need a phone that can process faster than my own brain. its perfect for people like me that dont have social media or use a phones fancy flagship features when leaving the house. running it completely de-googled with positive results and will update if my opinion changes.

Does not boot OS when SIM is inserted
Does not boot with SIM card. SIM card slot is located behind the batter so you cant even boot, then insert as a potential work-around. Booted without SIM card and set up the device. Turned off, inserted SIM, turned on and still no boot. The device turns on, but does not boot the OS when a compatible SIM card is inserted (testing multiple times, waiting an hour each time). Don't bother.

Not Unlocked
While it is locked to T-Mobile it works great with tello. That is fine for us but someone expecting it to be unlocked will be disappointed and frustrated because if their cell service uses any other towers than t mobile the phone will not work and they will have to take time out of their day to return this. Soo I have to take a star off for saying it's unlocked when it's only half true. This phone only operates on T-Mobile towers and that should be clearly stated. As for the phone is very cool. The touch screen is great. I had to change the keyboard settings so it does not use the swipe feature otherwise it over responds to every touch. But once I disabled the swipe feature it worked perfect. Easy to navigate screen. Very solid rugged feel too this flip phone. I purchased it for my 15 year old son. He's pleased. Great phone.

Excellent durable and hard-working phone. I could not ask for anything more!
Was very skeptical about purchasing at first due to mixed reviews. However, I found this phone to be fantastic! Was purchased as a gift for a farmer who is not very gentle and this phone has met the test of time. So durable, excellent sound quality, sleek styling and overall a great value. Compatible with our plan and many others. The price point is phenomenal and it's very difficult to find such a good quality and durable device without a huge sticker. Attached. Would definitely purchase again!

Dumb phone you want that is a smart phone when it needs to be.
Just as my title suggests, it’s perfect for both situations.I’m currently in the process of unplugging from online life little by little. This phone is a perfect in-between option.I downloaded a t9 keyboard for free that works great.Battery lasts about 2.5 days. Sturdy and heavy which is good for my line of work, fits a 128 Gb SD card so you can store music or whatever.Corded headphones would have to be USB-C as there is no 3.5 mm output but it does have Bluetooth as well.I tested the Bluetooth and it works well. Walked across my house using it after leaving the phone in the kitchen. Great phone. Hope they put out a new updated version that’s a little slimmer cuz she’s kinda thick.

Know WHAT this is before ordering
On the surface, this phone looks like it would check all of the boxes for a digital detox lifestyle. For the most part - it does. Solidly built, water resistant, and it would appear to be straightforward - but is it?After using for 2 days, I found the phone to be more of a distraction and a detriment then a positive experience. It gives you just enough Android to make you feel that you're getting a complete package, but good luck if you try plugging it into your car - there's no Android auto and that is a huge deal-breaker for me.Additionally, even with the volume turned all the way up, the ringtones are very quiet and easily overlooked. The phone isn't just slow - it's painfully slow. Good luck trying to load anything with it as it takes forever to process. Then there's the issue with storage.Nowhere does it say "hey, you should probably consider getting an SD card before transferring your stuff." You really can't do that because you have to set the phone up first before you can activate storage on the SD card. This means you either screw up your transfer process, or have to omit many items. All in all, if you are looking for a very simple phone - this might be a place to start, but day in and day out use is very frustrating. You can't do everything from the keyboard, so you have to use the touch screen or voice to text.If you know your limitations, I think it could be a good phone for digital detox lifestyle, but don't count on using a day in and day out without running into several frustrations. It's a shame, because I had really high hopes for it.

Less phone attention. More reality.
The hardest part is finding a carrier with a simcard. I used T-Mobile, month to month, 25 dollars. I was told I could use a third party phone card, with the simcard. I did purchase a tracphone card. At Walmart. Salesman told me simcard included. It wasn’t. Can’t return tracphone card. I’ll try the tracphone code number next month. The phone has Google Android. Google Play. And very easy to download Firefox, Bluesky, GPS maps or games. It’s small. Waterproof. I wanted something with a new phone number and less phone attention. This is it. Five stars for leaving Apple!
