EASY TO INSTALL AND WORKS VERY WELL TO CLOSE THE DOOR AUTOMATICALLY FROM EITHER WIDE OPEN OR FROM A SHORT DISTANCE THE SAME. SEEMS TO BE GOOD QUALITY ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE I PAID. THE STOCK SPRING TENSION WAS PERFECT AND NO ADJUSTMENT WAS NECESSARY.

The media could not be loaded. I am turning half of my shop into a gym/theater/man cave. I’ve insulated it and I’m about to put in a mini split to keep it climate controlled. I think it’s natural for kids not to appreciate that adults have to pay bills because countless times I have found the man door to my shop left open. Not only is that bad for electric bill but also we have outside pets that love to go in there and make a mess whenever they can. I just typed in something like “spring assisted door closer” in the search bar on Amazon and this popped up. $10 and I thought I’d try it. Amazing! There is a covered breezeway between our shop and house so this won’t get wet other than humidity. I figured every now and then I’ll spray with with some gun oil or something to help keep it from rusting. But it works super well. Easy to install. I’m considering getting a second one to put up top and then reduce the tension on both to make the internal spring last longer. But man I couldn’t be happier with this product and how well it works. Word of advice. If your door rubs on anything inside the framing of the door now, then you’ll want to adjust your door so it can latch easily. I did that with mine and now if the door is opened to about 60° it will latch on its own from this spring assist. Love it. Cant recommend it enough.

This is a good affordable solution for a residential door. The build quality seems to be sturdy and functional. It's pretty simple to install, but be warned that the included instructions are pretty useless. Just installed it on my front door and it is working as expected. There is no sound from the device during use and it closes my door completely without slamming it shut.

It works good. I have a dog that leaves the door wide open when he comes back in. Now it closes to where it almost latches every time. Which is fine with us, not having conditioned air going out or bugs coming in. Pleased with my purchase. I used torx head screws instead of the screws supplied due to other reviews.

This is actually quite perfect. My spouse would come into my office throughout the day to ask me something and had a habbit of leaving the door wide open, which is a problem in the summertime when im running ac. I also wanted something that wouldn't slam the door all the way closed or make it too hard to open the door since we have a dog who wants to come in and out. This was perfect.This screws in nicely (i used better screws than the ones that came with it which stripped) and the first position had the right amount of light tension for my needs. I could use stronger positions if iwanted the door to close all the way (i just want my door to close most of the way so the ac makes the room cold and the dog can still nudge open the door to escape).I placed it close to the hinge which keeps the roller movement short enough to use on the included plate. If you place if further away from the hinge/rotation area the roller will travel further. I haven't actually put the plate on, the rubber rollers are soft enough. I like that you can place this at any height along the door.The product photo is slightly inaccurate since there is no longer a nut included, but i find it is not needed (tension prevents it from rotating) and the nut is kind of ugly.Finally an extra "feature" is you can unscrew the roller bar when you don't want your door to automatically close. The price is right, it does exactly what i need it to do and it installed easily.

Garbage. The picture shows an adjustment nut for the arm. The idea is to "fine tune" the position of the arm so that it closes each door properly. Not every door is the dame which why there is a need for this nut. When you don't have that nut the arm wiggles around and won't sit flat on the door and wiggles off a straight path on the door, off the guide plate provided. I didn't want to have to go buy one from a harware store when one was supposed to be provided as per the stock images that were picked to represent the product. So I ask for the part and was told a replacement would be sent. A whole new product was sent, same issue, adjustment nut missing. Additionally everytime this was sent the box was open in the delivery bags and everything thrown about so I had to make sure each time all the pieces were there. Both had the adjustment nuts missing. This is bad buisness when products arnt correctly represented. I'm sure their cost is 2.99 and we pay 9.99 so why can't it have what is shown in the picture? Not thanks I'd rather buy from a place with integrity.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Very attractive and heavy duty. Used on my glass entry door and three of my neighbors ordered the same model. Took 5 minutes to install.
