Is the pressed wood ? Or partial board or real wood and how does it handle against water

It is made with Medium-density fibreboard (MDF) which is an engineered wood product made out of hardwood or softwood wood fibers. The boards will handle moisture in the air fine because they are primed and ready to paint but if water was to get in direct contact with it and get behind the boards it could swell. But issues such as this would arise using wood as well, just in a different way.

what is the common form of installation?

Most customers just use small nails. You can put Liquid Nails Glue on the back for a more permanent installation. The panels are thin so the nails don't need to be big and the best thing is that it fits behind all of your current trim and moulding.

Can you fasten this to studs or does it have to be on Drywall? How rigid are the boards?

These are 3/8” thick so it may be a little too thin to only go over only studs. We do make custom shiplap sizes in thicker material and longer lengths so please feel free to contact us.

WouId I be able to use this to cover a wall that has a bumpy texture?
