What is the thickness of the stainless steel bars? Will it fit into a Fluval Aquasky light?

At present im not sure the thickness but i purchased them for my tank overhead light think if you have wire brackets on your light all standard size and should fit im please with mine and pretty sturdy. Sorry cant tell you the thickness just now.

what width of tank can this span?

The two ends are not joined, so technically any width of tank is fine if you are not using the light this is designed for. If you are using the light then I am not able to help because I used my own light.

How long does it extend

I'd say maximum extension is 20-21cm above the fish tank edge. The metal is 22cm long but needs at least 1cm to slot into the clip
