Was just o.k. but now just an annoyances.
Seemed to connect fine at first though connection speeds and distance were no where near advertised..I'm pushing wifi signal no further than 75 feet with zero obstacles of buildings, trees etc. Item is mounted via pole to the back of my house and connected directly to router via Cat6 cable. 2 plus months in and the signal is always degraded to the point that its mostly unusable..have antenna set to auto reboot every morning at 4am just to try and get it to not be so buggy throughout day, But alas, this piece of junk extender acts like a bratty child and only behaves when it feel like it. Which nowadays isnt to often. I wouldnt recommend this trash to anybody. Sadly there isnt many options out there, but I will say there has to be better than this thing. Do your homework, buy a different brand or deal with the big fail that comes with dumping hard earned money into this garbage.

It does what they said it would do.
Worked has described. Added a few acres of wifi coverage to our farm. May add more.

Had water issue but replaced
Worked great for 6 months. Found water inside the device today. Now it just flashes green and does not function. I'm not so certain on this being completely weather proof.Update: I emailed the company and explained the issue and they sent a new one immediately.

Mixed Results, Ultimately Returned
The WAVLINK AC1200 Outdoor Long Range Weatherproof Dual Band WiFi Extender came with both positives and negatives, leading us to return it after giving it a try.First, the positives: The idea of extending our WiFi range to cover our yard was enticing, and this extender did manage to improve our WiFi signal outdoors to some extent. In areas with a weaker signal, we did notice a slight improvement in connectivity. However, the range boost was not as significant as we had hoped for. In some corners of our yard, the signal remained weak, and we were unable to achieve the consistent coverage we desired. This limited range was the primary reason for our disappointment.Additionally, the extender's design was somewhat cumbersome and bulky. Installation required some effort, and finding an ideal location for it proved to be a challenge. Its size and appearance were less discreet than we would have preferred.Ultimately, due to the limited range and the extender's bulkiness, we decided to return it and explore other options to improve our outdoor WiFi coverage. In conclusion, the WAVLINK AC1200 Outdoor Long Range Weatherproof Dual Band WiFi Extender did show promise in extending our WiFi coverage outdoors, but the limited range and the device's unwieldy design were drawbacks that ultimately led us to return it. It might work better for smaller outdoor spaces, but for our needs, it fell short of expectations, warranting a 3-star rating.

Wavelink 1200AC - Good Speed to/from Remote Router
Wireless router is from Xfinity, inside the main house about 250ft away, with a couple of walls between it and the outdoors. I placed this on the front of the little office building I use and am getting good signal with no dropouts. Running speedtest from my old PC with an TP-LInk AC1200 USB adapter, I'm still able to get 130-140Mb/s and that's with 2 walls and floor between my PC and the AP. I'm very happy.Setup was a bit more than I though it would be but even if you've never done this type of thing before, it's simple and straight forward. Just don't click on anything you're not sure what it does, that makes life fun and you better have a clue how it all works so you can get it running again.

Ugh, nighmare
I really don't like giving bad reviews and try everything I can to resolve issues but... this wifi extender is horrible. I have it about 35 yards from my house so I can run wifi security cameras. This thing looses connection with my router several times a week. I have it setup as a wifi client so I don't have to run Ethernet cable underground. It's up on a pole 30' high and have direct line on sight to my network. Twice I've had to take the extender off the pole, factory reset it and put it all back up again. Most of the time I have to run setup again and reissue the pass code to get it to connect or hard power cycle the device. If you don't want to be constantly tinkering with it, choose something else.
