100% Ineffective
I followed all of the instructions. I placed one bucket in an area where mosquitos constantly breed. I used one of the two buckets as a test for effectiveness, after two months with mosquitos flying constantly in a fairly contained area. NOT ONE MOSQUITO was caught in the trap. My only regret is waiting for two months to see if even one mosquito would be caught. Now I am outside of the 30 day return window and I am stuck with two useless items. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM!

It works, but is it useful?
Well, this thing actually catches mosquitoes, and quite a lot of them. So it does what it says on the box. I often find mosquitoes hovering around the opening. It does seem like there are fewer mosquitoes hovering around me since I placed this and other traps around, but I also try to diligently apply my favorite repellent, Lemon Eucalyptus, whenever I am outside for extended periods. It is an easy to maintain device, and effective in its described capacity. So I am inclined to recommend it for mosquito control.Placement makes a difference. Initially, one of the two wasn't catching anything, so I moved it, and now both have been equally effective.

Great idea!
I have two of these. The one that I attached a lure to worked better than the one without a lure. Placement is vital as well. Instructions on installing the sticky pad not so good.

Doesn't catch any Asian tiger mosquitoes, even though they've bit me plenty!
We had these set out for the summer in two different parts of our yard, and I moved them around periodically to see if I could find a more attractive place to get them to work. We also have the Biogents Mosquitaire with the CO2 attachment, which caught plenty of mosquitoes. The Mosquitaire trap doesn't catch them all, though; I still would get some bites on the ankles from some Asian tiger mosquitoes (confirmed either because I'd see them, or manage to kill them after they did their damage to me). But these additional "non-electronic" traps didn't ever catch a single one of these mosquitoes, even though they are supposed to attract the females after they've bitten you. Waste of money.

Does its job!
The media could not be loaded. Very satisfying to see all the mosquitos that get caught.I found a lot of luck placing the trap under my backyard tree on soil and near other plants. I tried placing on my deck near some vines but no dice.I do have to check on it every week to unstick leaves that get caught or adjust the sticky tape that falls down sometimes.

Biogents Traps Don't Work
We live in mosquito country in Sugar Land just a few miles south of Houston. The traps have been out for just over two weeks. I put leaves in the water, filled per spec and installed the sticky plastic part of the trap. No mosquitos on either one. A complete waste of 90 bucks!

Works but needs improvement
Basically just a bucket of water with sticky paper and barrier to prevent mosquitoes from getting to water, which makes it super pricey for what it is. Bought the two pack and found only limited catch albeit that since this attracts the mosquitoes which have already fed and I have two of their scent traps catching those that are hungry, there may not have been very many full mosquitoes to catch. Would probably be better if they could have it have water in part of it and a place to put a dry scent source in another dry part. Would probably catch more that way. I did try with one of mine by getting rid of water and putting one of Biogents scent packets in place of it and the catch rate went up, but only marginally probably for same reason that they were more attracted to my main trap with the fan diffusing scent attractant over a wider area. N.B. I had extra glue strips from another source in the trap and it caught more that the Biogents ones - glue could be better on Biogents strips.

3 weeks in our yard 0 Mosquitos trapped
Returned ... in over 2 weeks...No Mosquitos in Traps.this trap has no smell to lure Mosquitos and no insecticide to kill them..it solely relies on Mosquitos wanting to lay eggs in water.... and hoping that they will land on the small tiny sticky paper that comes with the ṭrap..RETURNED
