Can I use on top of carpet - will the tiles slip and move?

I use on wooden and concrete floors and the don't move, although I do have them wall to wall. I think they might slip on carpet unless you also have them wall-to-wall. Hope this helps.

Are these suitable for very heavy gym equipment? I want some flooring to place below a cable gym with inbuilt weight stack, so 250kg maybe.

I wouldn’t have said so. Don’t get me wrong they are a great product, but wouldn’t have though they would cope with 250kg.
