Bormioli Rocco Country Home Helios Oil Bottle, 8-Ounce

I love how these look on my table. They are convenient compact and easy to pour. Sturdy glass, well made, corks look cute on the top. Much nicer than trying to pour from bigger clunkier bottles. Cute enough to keep out on display on the kitchen counter or table.

Works great and looks good too. I do wish it were a smudge bigger but still like it for what I use it for.

I got this bottle to make homemade vanilla extract for myself and as gifts. The extract has been a hit for gifts, but almost nobody asks about the extract part first. They all say, "What a cool bottle!" The blue tint is very light as you can see from the photos, but it didn't matter to me. They are compact but still hold plenty and very pretty. The glass is solid enough that it doesn't feel like it would shatter if I accidentally dropped it (although I am not testing that out directly). There is a moon on one side and sun on the other. The cork fits in snugly but is not difficult to remove, with a small metal loop at the top to make it easier to take out. This would be great to make salad dressing in, infuse your own olive oil, or anything else you'd like to make yourself and especially give as gifts. I love it!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Cork soaks up the oil and gets your fingers oily which is frustrating.I didn't receive the ring in the cork.The glass bottle is nice.

The main reason I bought this was just because I love the celestial themed design. I had ordered one a long time ago but the glass had some imperfections across the sun face on the glass so I finally ordered another one and it's beautiful. Both times I got them for under $12. It comes with a cork but I used my own cruet lid and it seems to fit other generic lids for oil cruets. It's not a huge bottle so check the dimensions on the product description but I want it to be a small size because it makes it easy for me to quickly remove the lid and pour oil into pans with one hand.

I ordered 2 of these bottles even though I only needed one. Am making homemade vanilla extract and these bottles were just the right size. Love the greenish color and decorative glass sun on one side and moon on the other. I would have given these 5 stars but when they arrived on bottle was broken. They were very well packaged in bubble wrap and that pillow like plastic padding. The broken bottle must have been broken when it was packaged as I couldn't find any broken pieces inside the shipping box or in the packing material.

This was very nice. But it didn't come with the golden hoop that goes in the top of the cork. I used it to make a decorative pepper jar in memory of a co-worker who passed away. I was hoping to attach her funeral card to the hoop. But we found another way to do it.
