It says the obelisk is 2 meters tall , does this include the 40cm which pushes into the ground ?

Yes. I have mine in a pot and the height above the soil is 156cm there is also the final on top which I have not counted in the measurement

Arrived 3 days after ordering good show. The curved sections will not produce a level circular piece. Any advise please?

Connect one screw with two pieces of curved section, so one hole in each section has the screw in. Then do the same with the other sections. Would be useful if you had someone else to help you

Thinking of using in a pot for sweet peas, has anyone tried and if so how successful please?

I intend to use this for sweet peas this year, using a large pot. For several years I have had one of these obelisks in the garden with honeysuckle over it, and it has proved much sturdier than it appears when first erected. I think it will support sweet peas without any problems. Good luck!

Vertical uprights inside or outside the horizontal rings?

The horizontal rings were on the outside of the vertical uprights.....but save your money as the whole thing was flimsy and only lasted a few months before it fell apart!!
