StickyTapes Bike Protection Tape - 50mm x 1000mm roll of 8671HS Helicopter Tape - Strong Clear Protective Film - made by 3M

Very strong tape purchased to stop the top of my VW camper’s passenger door fouling on the arm of the pull-out sun blind. Works well and the adhesive is strong and weatherproof. Can hardly see the the tape on the door as it’s very transparent. At over £20 a metre it’s expensive but thick enough (1.5mm?) to prevent more damage to the top of the door.

Its doing a great job of protecting my bike but it's not the cleanest looking solution. With patience and skill you could probably hide it very well but like I said patience and skill will be required.For smaller areas it is nice and simple to get onto the bike but large areas like chainstays and downtubes can be difficult to line the tape up nicely.As far as protection though it is fantastic and will protect your paint from even the nastiest of rock strikes.

Just the job for protecting the paintwork when adding a VW bike rack to a VW California. The picture is a bit misleading as you get a length of tape, not a roll, but it is the length it says it is, so make sure you check how much you need.

I am sure this is class leading protection tape from 3M which is why I purchased it. Unfortunately I can't manage to get the backing off so I've given up

This is to expensive for what you get, 1 meter, only covered the top tube of my MTB not enough to do down tube so can only recommend if you have a small area to protect.

Used this on my mountain bike frame - Easy to apply and as it has a slight gel-like quality it has a little bit of give/stretch in it so it was able to accommodate some curvature more easily than a thinner (not 3M brand) tape that I tried. My 1 metre did not go far but the quality feels good. I would recommend putting a radius (with scissors) on each end the avoid sharp corners getting caught and lifted.

Tried to scratch the surface using pointed materials like key and paint but couldn't.Very good quality material.
